    Becky and Vindaim being a seperate group and taking space is so cool to see. The amount of space and pressure they create is insane.
    I wonder though, would it still be a viable strat to split off and flank together if blue team wasn't on poke characters like bap and zen? I assume you could still force cooldowns, but I'd imagine if blue team had kiriko/lucio or something similar they could just engage on red team's core.
    Really nice video; I learned a lot. You've earned a subscriber. Please do more videos like these in the future!

      If I had to imagine the scenario, I'd say it's very dependent on each part of the map. Due to the design of Eichenwalde, in most of point B, the blue team wouldn't be able to control the high ground against Tracer + Kiriko because Kiriko + Lucio would have to play around Orisa + Genji while Sojourn would be forced to go between high and low ground to survive. But at the end of point B as well as the whole of point C, you're 100% right that it would be harder to get value from splitting off. With Orisa + Sojourn, it's difficult for the blue team to hard engage while ignoring the Tracer + Kiriko without running some form of dive like the OWL playoff meta.

    Omg, I've never seen such an in-depth analysis of overwatch, I never really thought about the game in that kind of way, I thought only pros can access this kind of perception of the game. This is just insane and so interesting at the same time

    Yo you are insane with the content. I'd rather have content from you than most other OW content creators tbh. ive watched this video 2 times already. I play tracer so this is very useful
    - playing defensively if my team has stronger poke than enemy team, acting as a "defensive filter" rather than backline assassin tracer which most ppl are used to

    I love your style of analysis. I used to be a masters support main but fell out of love with the game, dropping down to high plat through playing little and only for fun. Coming back to play OW2 I've been trying to learn what I can around unlocking my skill on support, and your videos really open my eyes up to the potential of both main & flex support roles. This is a video focusses on the gameplay of a flex dps player, for which most other analysis videos would focus purely on that person's gameplay. However, you cover both the main player's gameplay, as well as other people in the game from both a macro and micro perspective. You're not only drawing attention to what patterns and behaviour I can learn from and expect to see from players in my game (both the optimal plays that could happen, or those which are aren't but players fall into those out of bad habit), but also what I can do from the perspective of a support player in order to shut these down or make them have a hard time.

    Have any tips on knowing what to do given a specific comp? I play a lot of Lucio, zen, bap and quickly find myself lost in teamfights due to not knowing where I should be

    • @KROW_OW
      @KROW_OW  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really depends both team comps, but as a general rule of thumb you want to be in a position to have line of sight to your partner support and tank at the minimum, always be near corners or other forms of cover if you can.
      For Zen, you'd want to have LOS to your flex DPS + partner support.
      All the supports play slightly differently, so the positioning will vary depending on each hero.

      Malkadia on our team is a professional coach for a team so we're able to get a lot of insight when we make videos! We can't disclose the details at the moment because the info is not public yet, but we do have some exciting news brewing up :)

  • @jazay591
    @jazay591 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I like the reviews on team positioning. It's interesting to see what a very optimised team could do, but it's just about impossible to take positions like you're suggesting unless everyone on the team plays their role very, very well. In GM it can work out if everyone mas the mentality to be working together like that and also the mechanics to execute from these more difficult (and also more valuable) positions, but if you're below masters and watching this video don't even try these positioning tactics because nobody is going to be executing their role consistently enough for your team to get more value then the enemies who are probably just gonna play pretty grouped up, with a flanking hitscan + a mercy pocket.

    • @KROW_OW
      @KROW_OW  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I hope that by making these videos, positioning can become a more fundamental part of gameplay that the community can utilize over time!

    • @jazay591
      @jazay591 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@KROW_OW I'd recommend explaining both an optimal team placement like you did, since it's interesting and educational. Then maybe an explanation of where you, as the solo player, can position for the greatest value in the videos example teams immediate layout. Who likely will not be able to pull of such strategies you explain in the video, or even comprehend them sadly.
