Terrific film, terrific discussion. Nice to have the Editor here, as the visual collages of the movie were so critical to its tone. Had a very raw 'analog' feel to it, like watching MTV in the early-90s. (Just wish Beshenkovsky's mic was turned up so we could hear him!)
Surprised that Brett Morgen didn't include the scenes when Don Cobain "burst into tears" when he interviewed the dad. (25:00) A lot of people have commented on how stone-cold Don came across in the film. Too bad Morgen didn't include it. But interesting that he says his film was inspired by the movie 'Lenny'.
Think we all could find parallels with the subjects explored in the documentary. From the struggles as an artist, to the growing pains of adulthood. Feels like a lot of us have steered from the path of truth, but now is a good time to start reconciling and reclaiming our lives. We owe it to the folks of that generation which paved the way to make it okay to live a life of authenticity.

Movie is horrible, completely false, a away to get Courtney public opinion better... Kurt if was alive would be ashamed of that. It was no suicide!!

Kurt’s mom was gorgeous in her prime. He got his good looks from her. She also came across to me as dishonest and a narcissist.

I know this comment is 3 years old, but why do you think so?
