- Was bored this evening after school so I thought it would be funny to make a quick and dirty straight pipe exhaust for the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Sounds good actually, refer to the disclaimer in the video. It's probably not good for the motor. I'll be installing a proper empty chamber silencer soon as I like the "old bullet thump".
If you are thinking of doing this, I'm happy for you to use this video as a guide but you do it at your own risk. I am not responsible in any way! :-)
Short punjab +straight pipe on a new classic is crazy,as it retains the old cast iron bullets charm.
I could imagine haha, unfortunately it would cost a fortune to get something like that imported to NZ. Unless something can be found locally.
This engine just sounds amazing in spite of it's size.
Having been one of the few to read your disclaimer, I believe that the 'back pressure' thing is a myth going back to early cars and two stroke bikes, from what I have been able to see a de-cat with a properly manufactured exhaust system is no issue once the ecu has adjusted for the air flow.
Right I see, that would make sense. Thanks for your info Kevin.
Cheers
@@KingTriangleCat infact the engine is basically a large air pump, so it's purpose is to move the air in and push it out as quickly as possible, so that the modern obstructive exhaust system slows the evacuation of the gas, limiting power and torque
@@kevindarkstar Understood. Thanks again. That clears up the confusion.
is it all straight or still has the catalytic con. inside ?
Hi there. Cat is there in the vid. I recently removed it and it is a whole lot louder if you do so, especially with the straight pipe. Cheers
@@KingTriangleCat ohhh awesome!!
@@KingTriangleCat hi, Sir would you make a video without the catalytic converter and with the straight pipe. Wonder how it sounds... 😊
Any issue in engine....
Hi there, no issues with the engine. Coming up to 8K km’s I believe. Only thing is Speedo not working half the time, which is a bit annoying. Other than that perfect.
you don’t need back pressure it’s a myth
