Cal Tjader was a great pioneering Cuban/Latin Jazz Group Leader! Personally his first 20 years from 1954 to 1974 were his best records! Your video yesterday was memorable for offering some seldom heard wisdom on a vinyl community channel!
They performed / recorded “You Got It”. I think that’s one of the very few Live recordings of that fantastic song. Check out Daryl Hall & Todd Rundgren covering it on Daryl’s House. Incredible.
Good Morning from Montreal Scott, another nice listen that I enjoyed, a few I did not know of, I have 2 from AWB but did not know of this one, will look into it. Keep smilin’ and being nice peeps 🎶✌🏼
I bought the AWB live album also, great concert. I like the extended funk jams. I agree the audio could have been a little better, very one dimensional sound, drums and bass are low in the mix. The band Lettuce sounds interesting but you didn’t say what kind of music it is.
Ringo made a subpar record isn’t controversial. I love the first 2 Average White Band albums. The 3rd was okay and I haven’t listened to anything after.

They are a Jazzy/Funk/Psyche/Jam band. Like Galactic, Snarky Puppy, Sly & Family Stone, etc.
Steve Ferrone is from Brighton - not London.
Tom Petty said that Steve would say he was the only black baby in Brighton at the time.
Correct!!

The best one is Soul Searching.
