Dude, loved it! You were actually really fast and were really trying to push the corners. Your Eclipse seems to love hard pulls out of corners from 3rd and 4th gear. Also the girl seemed to enjoy this way to much, haha. She couldn't stop smiling! But to me it appears the tires were always on the verge of losing maximum grip. What tire size and type are you using? I know yours is FWD but maybe with some lightweight 16" rims and 225/45 semi-slicks you can improve the grip. As for understeer, can't really do much about it, but you could swap in AWD front axles, and stiffen up the suspension in the rear, and make it softer in the front. Thanks for sharing your run, it was really exciting!
Hey man, big thanks for you comment ;-) Because of daily driven car, i use 225/45ZR16 Rainsport 2 from Uniroyal. Suspension is Koni yellow, adjusted not really hard and H&R springs. Everything old rubber bushings are changed to PU. And the crossmember is completely mounted in Aluminum bushings to the chassis. PU motor mounts for sure. I'm fine with it. It makes a lot of fun to me. And I think my passenger maybe loves it too :D
Why AWD front axles? In the past, I was thinking about a AWD build from a beat up 1G AWD, but was too much trouble at the time, because of the driveshaft and the required lower body changes in the chassis aside from the "TÜV", required by those who use the _force_ in this country...
Este é brabo!!!! E nem chamo o turbo de fabrica original ainda tem nox.
Schöner 1G. Klasse!
Danke 😊
looks really fun :) 😁
