- The upcoming wipe for Dark and Darker isn't too far now, so we get a little bit of practice on my soon to be main class.
A new journey begins in the dungeons, caves and ruins of Dark and Darker. A hardcore extraction looter FP(S?) game set in a high and somewhat dark fantasy world.

Hey all,
Been a while since I uploaded anything due to a combination of reasons, but there will be plenty more coming, especially after the wipe with (hopefully!) a big update. How have you been keeping up and how're things going?

Things are good. Hit pathfinder on my ranger and wizard, been having a lot of fun. Only got the game a month ago so still a lot to learn. I wish I could consistently play solo ruins though, I have a hard time finding portals on goblin caves and the pve feels a lot harder on ice caverns. Excited for the wipe though, ready for a fresh start
@@imbombayman Yeah I agree with almost everything here, congrats on the pathfinders! You'll do work in the new wipe :)
@esomn8919 any advice on pvp? I tend to be content just fighting the pve and trying to find loot but it's often I run in to somebody that out gears me by quite a lot and they kill me almost effortlessly. I've improved a bit, but it can be frustrating when I finally get some decent kit just to lose it the next run 😂 I got my wizard up to almost 4k gold and then proceeded to get stomped down to 1000. Although I'm assuming the only real answer is more time and experience in game
@@imbombayman Unfortunately most of it is just down to experience and practice, it also changes massively depending on what class you're playing too. My main generic tips would be to focus on sound and listening to what's happening around you, whether that's for footsteps, doors opening/closing, monsters fighting etc, you can quite often hear if someone is within a tile or so and try to think about your options.
Trying to formulate a plan also can help sometimes, for example having a door open behind you somewhere ready to kite to, or using terrain or mobs to your advantage if possible. Of course some days you'll have bad days but sometimes you'll have those good days where you gain 5k gold.

life drain healing amount is based on your magical damage and not magical healing, but counterintuitively life drain does get the 20% bonus from vampirism

Tbh I wouldn't be so hard on yourself about the looting after that fight with the fighter. Making heat of the moment choices like that is really hard, and if you messed up you're back to square one for that character, so I don't really blame you for playing it safe. I'd have done the same in your shoes.
I needed this, yesterday. 😭 . also I'm pretty sure soul collector stacks go away now once you're hit by a player.

was trying to hit a higher rank in solos because it was my highest rank, and lost all my gear and gold playing trios with my friends stuck in voyager now just waiting out reset now. of course fighter class

Wait, soul collector still works with dark reflection? I thought they patched it out?
Also yes, vampirism works with life drain
Still works, yeah. They updated the wording of Dark Reflection but not the actual damage type.
I thought they removed it too but last time I said it everyone in the comments said it still worked, I actually forgot to check to be 100% sure but I'm pretty confident with how many people have said it still works.

Playing a bit but not really seriously, kinda annoyed with the current state of the game.
Excited for wipe, though i dont play high roller cause norms is just better for pvp, more skill based.
Hoping they make some good changes for the fun of the game in the coming weeks.
The new hotfixes are mostly good though the changes to map rotation and such is annoying. old rotation was better.
Much hoping for the old rotation too, or at least more map choice, goblin caves sucks as the only solo map...
So in terms of picking the map, do you just wait until it rotates into solos for these maps? Or do you just go in regardless of team size? I'm not a big fan of goblin caves either, but it seems like I'd be at a big disadvantage by queueing up outside of solos

*cries in legs* when i look in my stash and have like 6x more legs than other pieces. why do they need to be so damn common lmao
you can "cheese" troll but im not sure about cyclops but you use hellfire and dot if you are geared or lament if your base kit and then bring some meds in as well as lifedrain hydra and you will be fine if you learn the range, for cycplos i imagine you can do it the same expect when it goes to the rockfall you probs would want to use melee either way
