Luke, I bet you, if you'd sell all your equipment you'd be able to retire - with a couple of billion in your pocket!

Thanks Luke! Next, I'd like to hear your review of the FjällRäven Kajka backpack as I saw one in your gear loadout videos! Keep up the good work!

I love all your videos, I watch the reviews even when I'm not in the market for gear. You're the reason I got the Snugpack Ionosphere (which rocks btw).
One question though, have you ever used REI brand gear? That's where I got my start here in San Antonio. and I'm extremely happy with my pack (70L Crestrail). I don't really know how their gear compares to most other brands as it's all I know. Thoughts?

Do you prefer this pack or the Kajka? Is it worth the extra $140 to get the Kajka?

They are not the same category of equipment. This is lite hiking and trekking, kajka is hardcore expedition style backpack

Hey Luke my friend. I was wondering if you could do a quick video on how to use the greenland waz on fjallraven products, like pants and packs in the g1000 materal? It would help allot of people out, inckl me :). Have a great day.

Nice to see you using some nice Swedish clothing Luke :)
The Fjällräven backpacks are my favorites, top quality and will last very long in the field! Take care, Joachim

In general I don't care for these style pack, but this one really seems like great design.

It's funny you talk about this pack being a Men's and not a Women's. I was at a store, just a couple days ago, trying on different packs in the 60-75 liter size. Some packs were labeled as Men's while a few were labeled as Women's, but I really could not tell much, if any difference. I'm curious, how are packs different for Men verses Women? Is it the shoulder straps, waist belt, frame shape, overall size, general design, or is it something stupid like the color? Thanks for any help with my understanding on this topic.

According to Fjällräven's website, the shoulder-straps and the hipbelt are adapted to a woman's body. Come to think of it, many of us men are rather flat-chested in comparison :-)

    • @Peteru69
      @Peteru69 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

But not all men are flat chested, some of us have developed chest muscles and stronger.. butt muscles..
Calling it "for men" or "for women" is silly. They should just add measurements and have those two variants. Lots of dudes would find the womens backpacks a better fit. Lots of insecurity in guys these days. I heard a feminist say "fragile masculinity" and I laughed because it's true. Everything apparently questions their sexuality, mean while I'm running around in an apron with a kid on my back (literally), don't have any time to worry about those trivial things.

Peteru Avertis I stand by this. Many feel awkward getting a pack for the other gender, it would be better if they just said the measurments

Best backpack i've ever bought (65L). The one i got does not say M or F.
It's a bit pricey if you're not into outdoors stuff, but if you are i think it's amasing (It's about the same price over here, bought it spring '16). It's way better than the official backpack for the M90 uniform system which isn't nearly as adjustable (which is just sad).
It's VERY adjustable and once you fit it onto yourself so you carry the weight on your hips, you can carry a heavy load for quite a distance (I went with 15 kilos for 20 kilometers. While i have endurance to walk far, my back isn't strong so thats good carry-leverage you get for your money).
    Would definitely buy it again.

im thinking of buying this backpack because i resently bought the barents pro and im really loving it. In the Netherlands the 75L backpack is about 280 euro's. Fjallraven is a brand that really gives you something durable for the money.

Hello Luke, thanks for this review. How does the Abisko here compare with the Kajka in terms of quality regarding materials and construction? I have a Kajka 75 but need something less in terms of cubic capacity and weight! Thanks and regards -Nom

A very solid pack and good capacity too. I`m not very fond of long zippers on the sides though, as they might leak rainwater inside a bit too easily. I use two Fjällräven packs myself, the Helags 40 and Helags 60, and both of them can take a lot of rainwater on them even without the raincover, without leaking. The Helags pack is a discontinued product too, and replaced by the latest Kaipak series.

Good review. Over all a good design. I like the metal 'D' rings and the adjustable compression strap clips. As far as price goes I've spent more on heavier packs so I was surprised at the price of the Abisko 55. I do like it. Thanks Luke. atb Opal

Odd question I know, but when it comes to Stealth Hiking/camping, what is the best color for the pack? Camo makes one to look out of place and maybe Rambo. Would black be better to not be to noticeable? Or some other color not draw to much attention to one self?

You should do a review about the backpacks from warrior assault systems... look them up. There more for military purpose, but they work really good!

Is that velcro strong enough to hold the harness and the pack for a long-term use?
