I use T4 HOTAS and can't control the door machine gun precisely.

the controls are horrendous. can u recommend a setup that is more straightforward?
Actually we found that after a little time (30 minutes or a little longer) with the standard controls, we'd got used to them and were really enjoying them. You can put a completely custom setup on there in the options menu, as mentioned, but We still like the default setup.
I think an important tip is to keep your eyes on the HUD, get some time in and just spend some time in the free flight mode getting used to how the different controls affect your machine.

I prefere the standard called in several games as "Southpaw" for Helicopter aircraft control.
This configuration can be reflected in Air Missions Hind as:
Control Type: Pilot (with some changes):
Consider "X" as LeftRight and
"Y" as UpDown
Main Rotor X (Roll): LS
Main Rotor Y (Pitch): LS
Descend/Climb Y (Throtle up-down): RS
Tail Rotor X (Yaw): RS
Autohoover: RS Button (pressing to its center)
Fire Turret Gun: RT
Fire Weapon: RB
Switch Weapon: Y
Ammo Reload: X
Flare Launch: B
Switch Camera View: LB
Zoom in/ out: LT
Focus on Target: A
Gunner's Optical/ Infrared Sight: LS Button (pressed)
