Actually, there are 3 Supernatural piano packs and several EX piano packs. So, if you install all of the free upgrades, it's probably way more than 120. My favorite used to be the Symphony Hall V-Oiano, but the EX upgrade added a new Hamburg Grand V-Piano, which is my current fave.
Yes, you are right. I did the video before the update. With the EX there are way more. My favorite is the German Concert.

There are some complaints, that acoustic sounds of Roland are not like real and acoustic but artificial and synthetic.
So named supernatual, consumers expect too much?
Natural=real natural, but supernatural=beyond natural, so unnatural? Rolands are EP biased, even at acoustic sounds ?
Roland may know that their so called acoustic piano(even others) sounds are not so realistic, compared to Yamaha or others, then why don't they try to improve?
I think the truth is: In the end you should play acoustic pianos. For me all these artificial pianos are complicated and it really depends if you use headphones, speakers, etc. You can get close, but never will get the same feeling. Another very important thing is, how the key action works. This, I would say is even more crucial than the actual sound.
@@LoopingPiano Yamaha , even Kurzweil, are heard by same sound system, but I can feel acoustic reality and natural feeling.
@new1st569 I should try them any time soon. Do you have any specific model / instrument in mind?
I really like the feeling of the keys. For me this is quite important. As I said, I do not have a lot of experience with others, but the V-Piano engine is really nice, you can also heavily customize it, e.g. how much you would like to open the lid of a grand piano or how all the strings resonate when you play a note or even just when you press the pedal. I might do a short video on that these days.
Roland use a method called "Physical Modeling"....this process can simulate a piano but you will have to customize it using all kinds of parameters.....on the other hand, Yamaha, Nord, Korg, etc...use Sampling Method from real acoustic piano and thats why you notice the almost real piano sound from these boards....I own a Fantom 8
