Being a person who's played a8 and a9, and is sick of the microtransactions, especially in a9, i do NOT think this is the start of an epic journey. Like legit, how can you enjoy a game where u gotta wait hours and hours to play using a car which can be used only 3 before refuelling?

Exactly. "At the beginning it was okay". It just progressively becomes worse. And A9, which once you play, with it's system of unlocking cars, obtaining bp's to upgrade AND star up the cars, not to mention the horrendous physics which they basically ported from AX, are just the tip of the iceberg, in an ocean of the problems of this game.
This may actually get me to play Asphalt again. Being on a phone is just.... bleh. With real controls this game could be awesome!

@@yourtankhadastrokeandfckin7523 well it's possible they could put a price tag on it and sell it without any of the microtransaction bullshit.
It actually doesn't take that much to connect a Bluetooth controller to your phone in order to have "real controls", the game fully supports it on Android at least, you don't need to have a ported version in order to avoid touch controls.
And yes, the Switch version is still freemium just like the mobile version as they have just announced for the release date.
Oh yeah, i always imagine Asphalt 9 for Nintendo Switch before upload this video, then now move on

Before mobile, Asphalt had their humble origins through Nintendo, through the DS, and then the 3DS and now with the Switch.
Yeah. The NDS versions was fine. Not the best. But it works. But the 3DS version sucks. I feel the gameplay as i was playing asphalt 5 in my old iPod Touch 2g. But now in 2019 with this game, wow, amazing!! Looks like Forza!!

On the Japanese eshop it said it's coming October 9 , 2019 . You can download it now and have it on hand until it releases . Like a Pre-Order but for free . It's not on the American eshop yet .

@@dreamcastdazia4753 the main problem isn't the unbalanced performance between touchdrive and manual steering players, but rather the P2W mechanics.
Not that P2W, but it's just designed so badly that it opresses lower level players. So you really gotta keep up with the game's progress.

Mario kart is still better but ok
Mario Kart, in my opinion, doesn't really count as a car racing game, because it only features miniature go karts and mainly focuses on the characters who drive them. A true car racing game features real cars from real manufactures and has to at least have some realism in it.

I am playing since it came out . Definitely it will have microtransactions because the new cars that come out need cards to unlock them plus the parts to upgrade.
You can play it offline but you have to activate it inside of the settings
