Totally agree. Being a smaller channel, budgets can stop us jumping on new trends quickly, and after looking at the 40s, we really wanted to try the 50s.
Can't recommend these. Have two pairs and on both the letherette has come of from the headband. And on my first the letherette has loosened from the earcups.
Great review, glad to see you revisit older tech, really let's you see how they've aged and if the firmware updates have done them well

Should i go with AONIC 50 GEN 2
They have the successor is aonic 40
Yep. We've reviewed them on the channel already!
I don't think is the Aonic 40 is successor to the Aonic 50. Some specs on the 50 are higher, like sampling rate over USB.
That is a smaller brother, not a successor. They have now the aonic 50 gen 2, which is a successor;)

AHH sorry to hear that! We've daily driven these for a while and the earcups are still holding up. Time will tell I suppose though.
I've had mine for 3 years. Mine started to do the same on the right ear. I used super glue to fix it. No issues since and that was about 4 months ago.
Same here, twice under warranty! On the earcups and the headband both times.
