Welcome to our Fish Creek Executive project! In this video, we’ll take you through the dramatic transformation of a home where every detail, inside and out, was carefully reimagined.
We transformed much of the interior and exterior of this home. And we can't wait to share how it turned out!
𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞:
The original space was well-appointed with premium features for the early 2000s. The main floor was divided by hardwood and carpet at odd 45-degree angles to match the 45-degree fireplace and two-tiered island. This age of home often has these angles that make maximizing the functional space a challenge for homeowners.
The staircase included a trip hazard bottom step, and the carpet felt disjointed from the warm hardwood on the main floor.
The kitchen, ensuite, shared bath, and powder room all needed a modern touch.
The double-sided fireplace and telephone table/ desk caused pinch points in the great room.
The entire main floor felt disconnected.
𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫:
Even though we didn't make much framing or structural changes to this home, it's unrecognizable-in the best way possible.
We painted the interior, bringing in fresh, modern tones that set the stage for the rest of the renovation.
New baseboards and trim were installed to frame the space beautifully.
The staircase was updated, and the trip hazard was removed.
The main floor now boasts cohesive light wide-plank hardwood flooring throughout.
The kitchen was completely reimagined with a sleek minimal design that kept to this client's brief of simple clean lines.
We added an incredible amount of storage and functionality without changing the layout of this kitchen. The only framing change we made was to swap the 45-degree walk-through corner pantry for a millwork door that adds to the cohesive feeling of this kitchen.
We relocated the fireplace and gave it more personality. We added storage in a built-in cabinet below to hold the grandbabies' toys.
Now, the furniture layout makes sense and there's a tremendous amount of stylish storage too.
The furnishings and rug are warm, inviting, and stain-resistant. Custom art finishes the space.
Without changing the layout, the bathrooms were also completely transformed. The ensuite now exudes luxury, while the shared bath and powder room have been upgraded with high-end finishes and thoughtful details.
