Black Adam is supposed to actually be the most powerful meta in the DC Universe. He can hold his own against Shazam/Capt. Marvel AND Superman. Like at the same time.
Superman and Shazam aren't even the strongest heroes on Earth, let alone any of them being _"meta"_ but of course Black Adam is no joke for taking on both like nothing. He is the original Captain Marvel with more experience and has all the powers of Superman/Shazam/All the Egyptian Gods. Though his magic ain't close to Dr. Fates level, he has magic that would take down Justice League with sheer force, we're not even counting his Supermans vulnerability to magic and that's another reason Superman cant take on Adam in paper.
It's weird when people call Captain Marvel Shazam. The real reason is that DC has never been comfortable showcasing heroes who are more powerful than "The Trinity" of Clark, Diana and Bruce. That's also why we don't see much of Dr. Fate. Now, Black Adam is useful as a villain because he's a serious threat to them but since's he's not a hero, he doesn't compete with them for fans like Billy would.

Remember that in the Flashpoint Paradox, the Thomas Wayne Batman showed just how vulnerable speedsters are when he put a bullet through Eobard Thawne's brain. Captain Marvel would have laughed that one off.

What I was referring to is that Superman is at a serious disadvantage against Captain Marvel in a fight (unless he has plot shields) because Cap is magical and that's Superman's weakness. Lord Dracul here’s my theory. Since he is an antihero he will have a soft spot for earth, when Darkseid finally invades earth Black Adam will team up with earth’s heroes to put a end to his invasion. And in the process slowly making Black Adam go to the good side.
Personally (and by that i mean completely bias) I think Blue Beatle should join the teen titans as a replacement for Cyborg (who as we all know is in the justice league) and Dc should run a Shazam solo run in its place.

I would like to point out when Black Adam broke Captain Marvel's arm, it was when the Power of Shazam was divided among Captain Marvel, Mary marvel, and Captain Marvel Jr. meaning Captain Marvel was only at a third of his normal power. So That wasn't nearly as impressive as it sounds. However, you are correct about the rest of the feats you mentioned being incredible.

Clay is right. Black Adam was more experienced and was very ruthless with his powers and knew a lot while Shazam is new to it and is still a kid. I think it also has to do with mentality.

To be honest, add most of Marvels roster of heroes and he still has a decent chance of winning. He only looses if you start bringing in higher tier heroes like Silver Surfer, Full Power Sentry, Ultimate Scarlett Witch, a Fully Confident Gladiator, Franklin Richards, etc.

I think there's a lot of rich gold to mine in a rise-and-fall story starring Black Adam. Kahndaq's lore can be explored, the audience can see a superhero movie from the anti-hero's perspective, and it'll be the perfect set up for Black Adam v Shazam in that we'd've fully gotten to know both characters.

It's cus we all have to remember that Black Adam was actually a good man, and was chosen to be a warrior for mankind, the problem was that he lacked innocence and compassion, and felt that it was in the people's best interest to keep everyone in control, so he acted more like a communistic tyrant, never the less, he is still somewhat good in his heart, with good reasoning, but a hardcore closed mind and a forceful hand. I guess that's what made Billy a better choice, a child is full of heart and has the potential to continue learning and seeing the good in all that exists.
Thumbs up for Black Adam, he's a really cool character to dive into his history. Although there yet seems to be a writer that can bring a nice compelling story that puts up his full potential.
well Black Adam, just like Shazam, is 6 gods in one. It's pretty understood on just how powerful he is. Like in one of your previous videos when you mentioned that Superman once told Shazam, in order to save Flash, "even a god is faster than a man." That alone proves what those two are capable of. To be fair, when he broke Captain Marvel's arm, Billy was sharing his power with Mary and Freddy, so he was only at 1/3rd of his full power. BA slapped Billy around pretty good in that fight.

It's the plot armor that keeps him winning just like Batman.

To be fair, when he broke Captain Marvel's arm, Billy was sharing his power with Mary and Freddy, so he was only at 1/3rd of his full power. BA slapped Billy around pretty good in that fight.

Planets last time I checked his voice was just equal to that of a nuclear bomb (Thanos has flat out tanked a shot from Black Bolt and Earth was perfectly fine)
