- The NJ Transit River Line is an inter-urban light rail line between Camden and Trenton, NJ. Operated mostly on former PRR trackage, the route is partially shared with Conrail and Norfolk Southern (with temporal separation). On this occasion, we catch a selection of River Line DMUs with a selection of Conrail and Norfolk Southern freight, including three newly delivered NS SD70ACes.
Nice! I've been waiting for a good River Line video from someone. I have family in that part of NJ and see and hear those trains constantly when I'm there.
Thanks. I'd like to get back and explore more of the line, so expect more!
@V12 Productions Be sure to check out the freights there, sometimes the schedule is light but usually some pretty good power, 3 Road trains 2 NS, 1 CSX that runs twice and like 3 locals with geep power
Nice video, would recommend if in South NJ in the Camden area pavilion yard lots of cool action there.
Been there a couple of times, it's a great spot!
@@HighIronProductions yeah it can get quite a few interesting trains
Really nice catches!
Great video
Awesome video!!
What kind of horn they use
Nice
Those CSX units need some help like most UP equipment I see these days...
Those DMU's seem wasteful, use a bus instead with that low ridership.
They're not at all wasteful. The line sees almost 3 million riders per year and travels between two of the largest population centers in southern New Jersey. I was filming outside the peak hours at one of the quieter stations, and didn't start filming until the doors closed, so didn't catch the amount of people getting on and off.
OK, it has a user base.
@@denault3985 not to mention there's frequent service and very cheap to ride too.
