    So true. When my daughter was three, I saw her turning her socks inside out. She told me she didn't like the seam rubbing on her toes.
    I've been taking her advice now for 30 yrs.

    Agree on the medium molle ruck not too big, not too small for me I feel like it's the perfect size. If you do have the money however, check out the tactical tailor malice pack thick shoulder straps, thick hip belt, and uses a metal frame like the original ALICE pack.

    Im a big fan of wool socks even in summer months weordo I know, also a dirt cheap alternative pair of pants check out the Wrangler outdoor pants. Picked up some at walfart for 15 bucks light breathable flexible mesh lined cargo pockets for added venting. Just my 2 cents from a poormans wallet. GREAT video! Keep on keepin on!

    I was literally thinking about compression style shorts to help with chafing between the legs, especially since they're long enough to still work if they ride up a bit and they help wick sweat from the boys.
    Last ruck I did was 5 miles in under 2 hours with 113lbs and some change. Had a cop pull over and ask what I was doing lol.

    I ruck ALOT...I stand by my Mystery Ranch Mountain Ruck. You can find good prices on them different places (buying from MR directly is uber expensive). If you like the old ALICE setup, with modern materials and configurations, its a great option in my opinion.

    Again, very good advice. Although you make me feel old when you say you earned your EIB in 2005 (I got mine in 1988 or 9?)! Since you appear to have been based in Germany, do you know where over here I can find accessories for my Alice pack (like a frame, shoulder straps, hip strap) for a reasonable price?

    I have a real problem keeping a slung rifle from sliding of my shoulder when wearing a ruck, especially when ducking through heavy brush and branches. Is there some magic method to make this easier?

    • @richardching3904

      Use a three point sling

      What Richard said. Single slings can work great but I cannot explain that in text

    • @hammerhound168
      @hammerhound168 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why would you have it slung on your shoulder ? In heavy brush? use a 2-piont sling or better carry it. Use it to help move brush, helps avoid snakes ,spiders and critters, also helps with booby traps. Might save you some pain or your life.
