The one that you missed and everyone that I know has also missed is the transition of the design of the $5 bill in the 2006 ( at least I think that’s 2006) When they went from a discolor, green, and black and of course white vs the other 2006 that was colorized and went through a few minor changes and again no one noticed. This should be a currency collector dream come true. I don’t think that the BPE acknowledges that there is a major mistake in that years $5 bill. Though they udid a major change in the bill, they kept it as the same series. According to my understanding, when they changed anything on a bill, even color they have to change the series. For instance, if a new treasurer of the Us and secretary of the treasury. Now either one of them is changed then, you keep the series but add a suffice starting with the letter A and go up the alphabet. Now if you change the bills in any way, as in the case of 2006 then you add a new series date to the bill. So the BEP really screwed up on this one. The difference, like I said was major. I, at one time had ten of each design. Unfortunately someone in my family needed some cash and saw the $5 bills and thought that they were spending money and took the majority of them. Now I have maybe, if I’m lucky, I may have 2-3 pairs. But I seem to be the only one who seems to be aware of this error. So all in all I may be only one to have noticed this . If anyone else has noticed the difference please share it with me, or if anyone else can explain why they did this, again please share it with me. Oh BTW if you want to go out treasures hunting, please do so and let me know what you find. How do I know this? Because after I noticed that I have lost these unique $5.00 bills, I tried to find some more, now this is in the middle to early 2007 $5.00 bills and I went through at least 3 different banks, and guess what I found out? There were none in the banks that I searched and after going through several hundreds of dollars, there were none to be found. My best guess is that the BEP fear that the money was completely recalled all of the bills and silently removed all of the fives from circulation and started printing the correct changes.
Like I said I haven’t seen any of the old or the new fives and I doubt that I never will. If you have any please let me know or if you have any questions, that would be an almost mission impossible.
Fun series of notes and the reason I did this all in stars. The only 5 small size I don’t have starred is the Hawaii note. I was battling one other individual out for it at heritage about 4-5 months ago but gave up after it crossed 1K. I think it realized 1200 hammer price. Who knows maybe one day I’ll scoop one up.
I haven't bought any fancies to speak of. All of mine have come from searches. I do have a top 10 finds list so this might be very similar but I will check it out!

I believe the first notes with the small head Lincoln design were the Porthole and Black Eagle.The $5 monochrome were introduced in 1999, which changed the size and image.They colorized them with the 2006 series. The small head design is one of my favorites.Great job buddy 👍
Next week is all of the other sizes and denominations. We are coming up on 100 years without changing the faces on our money after changing them about every 10 years from 1862-1928.
I thought about that but then I would want to have all of them visible in the background. Then I would have to move the camera further and that would change the depth of focus making the camera constantly adjusting the focus and giving headaches.

Modern small heads need to be in good shape but the notes older than 1980 can be worth a lot more.
