It is indeed based on the A class hatchback but it is defenetly not just a raised A class, (Like the Allroad series by Audi) and so far i have always seen it referenced has an suv, even tax wise. :)

To be honest, I actually like the car based on how the presenter, well, presented it. As much as I want Matt to be back at carbuyer, this guy is not doing a bad job. Not as comical as Matt was, but he still, a good job.
I replaced my 2011 S-class in April 2015 with the 2015 S-class because of three incidents of unintended acceleration and didn't feel safe driving it anymore. Recently I've been having problems with my 2015 S-class and I've only had it for eight months. All of the warning lights, which include AEB, BSD, engine, auto hold, power steering, AWD and ABS turned on while driving. Even power steering was not working as well. I had to take it back to Mercedes twice to look into this problem. I got my car back again two days ago after getting the speed sensor replaced and test driven by its service manager and foreman for over 450km. Hopefully the problem has been fixed once and for all to save me the trouble of bringing it back. I am so lucky to have two lemons from the same brand (one after the other). The S-class I bought in May 2011 was my first German car. I was very happy with it for the first few years until the first incident of unintended acceleration happened in August 2014. Such experience with my S-class shake my faith in the quality of this brand.

I am currently in the process selecting between the GLC and the VW Touareg... they are very similar in price in AUS, I guess the vw has better engine, V6 but less sparks in the cabin, and also is it going to have a new generation next year?? Having said that I am quite attracted by its price and also its very versatile use and quality build. Please help me to choose here!! Many thanks!!!

The new Jaguar F-Pace is a much more handsome SUV, with great performance. GLC has the most luxurious interior, but it's COMMAND interface is one of the least user-friendly of any cars!

Incorrect info in this review: Mercedes has been this SUV segment for several years with the GLK (so they aren't new to this) and have been competing with BMW X3 and Audi Q5. I hate seeing huge blatant mistakes like this in reviews!

As for the car, the GLC seems to be the best option in that class at the moment, mainly because Q5 and X3 are much older cars. I also wouldn't put Lexus NX as a competitor since NX is much smaller, so it probably rivals the GLA/X1/Q3 (it's also not a very good car at all, but that's not the point). Mercedes also need to extend that engine range, just one engine in two output variations is much less than what others offer
The review is great descriptive with details and the guy is ok let the people live , I don't know what happens with human being nowadays to much hate and frustrations. i never would have guessed the GLK wasn't sold in the UK. It seems like people would have loved to have a Mercedes of that size. I don't get why they don't offer the gas engine there yet either because we only have the gas in America.

After searching for weeks, I finally found it, placed the order and it came right to my door, I looked at it , drove it and did a few checks, and I was sold…. Fast Forward 4 weeks. My brakes jamming, had to pay £400 to replace the stuff under…. OhI forgot , the driver side under panel flew off the highway an I have started noticing chips on the window… wowow, what did I buy ..

As for females telling me about cars I might be considering, nope, doesn't work. I rarely watch one of their reviews start to finish. I've had 2 M-Bs in the past and never again. Mine were very unreliable. Both left me stranded even though they had excellent maintenance. Why? Bad engineering (yeah, I know the myth) and bad construction. The body work was sound however.

47,000 pounds is really expensive. In America, the equivalent dollar amount is not only GLE-class money, but you're close to getting a GLS-class.

They need to integrate the display properly, don't see why they've gone the stuck on route when last gen C class had it integrated.
