Hell, I can remember watching Sesame Street as a kid and seeing a segment with Grover and a bunch of other monsters running called “Chariots of Fur”. Might have been a Monsterpiece Theater bit, now that I think on it.
Insane part: Chariots of fire was composed by the late legendary Vangelis who is known for many songs but more importantly the music behind BLADE RUNNER and Carl Sagan's COSMOS series.

My dad was a really minor extra for this movie (random guy off the street type) for the scene this music plays he says and he never shuts up about it. Also ironically they cut out most of what he did but to this day he still claims "oh you know i got an Oscar" its really annoying whenever this song pops up in the house ever XD
