I wanted to ask you a question. If I'm keeping my rottie as guard dog, how can I justify that the dog allows being touched by any stranger. If I keep a guard dog i expect it to growl if anyone tries to enter my house and still if he enters he should attack him, i have a showline and working line mix gsd male 1yr 2months old still developing his guarding instinct as he has not yet matured. I will never like my dog playing with anyone the way ur playing with this Rottweiler. I would rather buy a golden retriever if I want my dog to play with any stranger. I firmly believe that generation of dogs are spoiled this way. Take the example of Doberman dogs in india, more than half dogs are failure for guarding instinct, in future same thing will happen with gsd, Rottweiler, Belgium malonais etc. People who go for these breeds for their hardcore guarding instinct will be disappointed.
I also own a rotweiler .his name is leo and .. I m a first owner .. but my rotweiler is too loyal he is playful and never tries to hurt others .. but his having some good guarding skills ..am I doing good with my rotweiler ??? Just need ur suggestions mam 😊

Mr. Sukh keeps his Rottweiler Tyson. outside all day and all night in the summertime. He never gets bathed and rarely ever goes for walks. he is also not trained to bark at everybody walking by. it gets kinda annoying honestly and frankly, I feel for the dog's welfare. Mr. Sukh just uses Tyson as an Insurance policy than an actual pet. quiet sad.
