Hands down the best review video. The lyrics are very important for understanding the song and the emotion when it comes to Japanese songs, yet few reviewers actually pay attention to them, which is a shame. Appreciate the video!
そうでもないよ~ そのアウトロ面白かった😂 I like how you explained the lyrics and how they changed your mind on the song, it does make a big difference! There’s so many great songs on this album! Sometimes I have this concern that certain songs have so much production it’ll put her voice in the back seat but in the end she powers through that no matter what 💕 I really enjoy how she tackles the balance of empowering themes along with self deprecating ones, there’s always going to be a lot between those two to cover! Looking forward to more!
I think that everyone who works on her music understands that her voice kind of IS the thing that draws people in...so I'm not sure if we'll really run into the case where it ends up getting buried! I can't prove this, but I suspect that's down to a heavy level of involvement from her on the arrangement and production level, even if she's not at the board herself 😂 Going back to the earlier albums and doing this for them will be interesting. That's why I like to work my way forward in time when I can, so you sort of absorb the releases in the order that they happened. I'll certainly be able to make it work though!

Personally felt like at least some of "I'm a Controversy" felt like commentary of the response of older/more conservative ppl of japan to "Ussewa" given the heavily anti corpo office workoholic life. Treating her like some bad influence, when for 1 she was more voicing the general attiude of the youth wanting work & life ballance. 2 She just sang a song. But of course keeping those points in mind the song didn't have to be personal to her but like you said more commentary on being an artist/celebrity
You certainly could be right about this! That theme is VERY obvious in that song, so it certainly wouldn't surprise me if that kind of a reaction came from that song being so popular. I haven't researched it too deeply, and I was planning on doing so when I eventually do a video on Kyougen!

他の曲は全てセルフディレクションしていると話していました。
ディレクターによる歌唱指導を拒否して自分でアレンジしているそうです。
録音スタジオに一人で入り、リテイクを時には数百回繰り返して録音したデータを渡すと話していました。
理由は単語一つずつでも自分が納得するまで何回も何百回もリテイクするから
スタジオにいるエンジニアやディレクターを長時間待たせたり、歌った曲をディレクターが判断する時間が審判を受けるようで耐えられないからだそうです。
デビュー直後はスタジオにディレクター付けていたけど
今は一人で録音しているそうです。
だから彼女のアレンジと制作関与は物凄く大きくなるのです。

今日(日本時間7/23)に日本で一番有名で長期間放送している、著名なトークバラエティ「徹子の部屋」にAdoさんがゲスト出演しました。
そこで初めて語られたのですが
オリジナル曲はスタジオで録音してますが
「歌ってみた」カバーソングは今でもクローゼットで録画しているそうです。
しかもあぐらをかいて録音してるそうです

If I remember correctly, Dignity WAS written for a movie, was it not?
It was! "The Silent Service" or "Chinmoku no Kantai". I believe I mention that during the section on Dignity!
i think this video is too long to watch it. at least, better to cut off it within 5 to 10 min each. ^^/
