Absolutely magical. I bought one of these cat-backs for my 3.7. I previously has a Roush axle back, and it sounded like an old minivan's pushrod V6 from the 90s with drone galore. I was considering selling the car because it just sounded so uninspiring. This cat back sounds so good, I felt like I was driving a different car. This is hands-down the best sounding car I've ever owned (and I've had an S2000 and a few straigt-6 BMWs). If you're on the fence, buy it. Personally, I can't stop revving it out just for the sound.
Got one on my 3.7 ... Great service, good quality exhaust, sounds great, its pretty loud..and It was a fair price. Feels like it woke up the performance a bit as well, 3rd gear especially. Well done Jeff and Solo team. Thanks very much.
SoloPerformance What do u think would be a better combo, this and the high flow cats, or this exhauat with bbk shortie headers? I am getting this exhaust very soon for my Birthday ☺ can not wait!

Hi JustStangs, it does sound good but of course it is a lot louder. Also the quality of sound is diminished some. If you are a person that is really wanting the best sound possible then just stick with the cat back kit. If you want to sacrifice some sound quality but trade that off for more performance then definitely do the headers and high flows. Hope this helps. The Solo Team.

@@JustStangz Hi JustStangs, that's a lot of mods for the V6 and I can't say with certainty how the sound will be because as you know the V6 Mustang has a very unique engine harmonic that it tough to deal with. My guess is that it will sound much better than the current "tin can" sound. Wish we could be more help. The Solo Team.
Hi Esai, 2 1/2" is optimal for the V6. We tried 3" and the car was not as powerful and bogged down on acceleration. We have has several customers dyno the Solo 2 1/2" system with some nice gains of approximately 8 extra HP and 7 extra foot pounds of torque. Hope this helps.

Does anybody have a decibel reading of this exhaust with the rest of the system stock?? I live in california and would like to install this exhaust but not sure if it will be considered too loud
I don't have a decibel reading, but it's very loud. I previously owned an S2000 and a motorcycle with an exhaust, and this is louder. I used to live in LA, and unless you're keeping your Mustang under 4,000 RPM all the time, I doubt it would pass.
@@chrisswatchbox7378actually revisiting these comments because i was going to ask solo for some advice to make my system louder but i noticed your remark about driving under 4k rpm entirely. And tbh, thats what ive been doing 😂 ive hardly launched the car above 3.5-4k and the noise level has been nice but after i think 2 years with the system now i want it louder and im seeing that its due to driving it low rpm trying to baby the transmission and camshaft phasers 😂
Hi Miike, this is an incredible sounding V6 kit. It's very hard to get the Mustang V6 to sound like a 60's muscle car but we did it with our design. No drone, no bad rpm ranges ( very tough to do ) Unfortunately I haven't heard the Borla so I don't know which one is louder. Quality of note... I don't think ours can be beat. Hope this helps. These are SLIGHTLY Louder than Borla S-Type. It's not by much but the borla system has a slight bit more muffling going on with it. I myself am looking at this system myself because I know it's a good in between from the Loudness of the Borla ATAK and the Borla S-Type. And these guys have designed a really good exhaust note in this system with no drone. My buddy has this system on his mustang and its amazing.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine I have the catback now. I would say borla stype is louder with an xpipe. But I think this system needs the high flows to complete the sound

Cause other than that it has a x pipe and super 10s it doesn’t sound good at all
