I've got the recon model. In my HJC lid it was a tight fit I admit, a little uncomfortable but could wear them still. I was going to try and compress the padding by pressing on the polystyrene on the sides, just a couple of mm would make a massive difference. However a crash and ruined helmet came first ha. I now have a Shark lid which has specially cut out slots for glasses to slide down so very comfortable now. I'm racing next weekend so video will be up shortly afterwards.
Hey sorry for late reply, I need to be on the case with comments. The audio is top quality. They cut out the wind noise but when I speak it is very clear. you can normally hear me cursing if I make a mistake during a race.
Hi mate, I've been unable to try and compare 720p 60fps and 1080p 30fps. I went out for qualifying and only managed 3 laps when I slid off and another rider rode into me. Ended up in hospital with punctured lung and 9 bust ribs. I will try this out asap, probably on a mountain bike when I can train again. sorry dude.
I'll be totally honest with you, I have never tried 720/60fps. I will make a video from my next round in a couple of weeks time both 720 and 1080 and have a comparison. video will be up start of august, keep an eye out and subscribe. Thanks
MK 2 hey sorry for late reply. I have not been on youtube for a long time. The mic is built in with the glasses, really is good quality sound considering i'm doing speeds over 150mph some times.
I have a Naked bike and a Shoei Helmet, it makes much noise, your video is very silent compared. I was also thinking about protecting or covering the mic hole from turbolance. Have to try
Wolfox360 if you already have a pair of Pivotheads then maybe try a little tape. I don't think you will get any mic on a camera not to sound noisy with an open face helmet in all honesty.
Lee Shallcross The helmet is closed Shoei rf-1100, But I think the problems is the kind of bike, (Tuono 1000r) I have no windshield. I will try with the tape once I can put my ass at home again :-))) By the way, Nice video!

which camera model are you using, Durango or SMART?
Is this the mic from the pivothead or an external mic?
Sounds great!
