Mercury Electric Outboard Avator 20e 35e

  • First tests of the electric engine Mercury Avator 20e and 35e, Mercury's two new electric outboard engines.
    The 20e is equivalent to a 3 HP gas engine, and the 35e to a 5 HP gas engine. Two very interesting motors to power a tender or a small boat, all the more so as the battery system has been further improved.

    Before the 35e came out, I read it will be the equivalent of a 15hp. Than it came out and everyone says 9.9hp. Now, this video says 5hp... why?

      It's because they communicate about the peak power, which is available during about 30 sec. The real power is the continuous power. And in this case, the continuous power is the same than a 5 hp gas engine

    These are super cool, but wouldn’t it make sense to produce hydrogen engines for boats? 🤷🏽

      Correct, but you can bring another battery and change it on the water.
