Thanks for react to Oneus! Come Back Home is from the finale of RTK, they have a Concept Film for the story of the song (and storyline). They'll have a comeback in August 19th. And all their MV slowly are connecting, some theories are emerged too. And yes, A Song Written Easily was filmed in New Zealand like Starry Night by Mamamoo. The whistle was recorded by the leader and main vocalist from Onewe, they brother group. Hope you gonna catch them too! They are a band (play instruments) but omg, the main vocalist is insane with his high notes: Reminisce about all, Regulus, Q ft. Hwasa, End of Spring (Oneus makes a cameo in this one) are some of their song with MV. I recommend Twilight (filmed in Italy and the most related to the storyline of Come Back Home) and Lit. Hope you'll enjoy their songs :) Fun facts: They participed in the creation, composition, production, lyrics and choreography of all their songs. In live performances they changes some moves and add ad lib and changes parts too, is awesome because always is something new to watch and enjoy. AAAAAA I'M SO HAPPY YOUR REACTED TO ONEUS!!!!!!!!! Oneus are the first boygroup in years that caught my attention and I really enjoyed everything they put out so far ("LIT" is my personal favourite). I hope they'll get big one day. Their potential is enormous and they just keep getting better with every comeback. You can tell how hard they're working, bless them... And they're all really sweet guys too, they're so nice, funny and have such positive mindsets. Honestly, they deserve a lot of love and recognition.

I had a feeling you were going to love them. My patience paid off. A song written easily was my number 1 song of the year 2020, but Come back home blew me away in road to kingdom and this MV. I do still prefer the RTK performance over the MV because you can see the dance better. You will love it when you get that far. My heart is happy.

Yeah I loved Oneus before RTK but the imo had one of the biggest, if not the biggest, growth of all the group in RTK. Please also react to their brother group Onewe when you can. They are a band and their keyboardist, Dongmyeong is the fraternal twin of Oneus' maknae Xion. Onewe and Oneus have a song together called last song and their main vocalist, Yonghoon, is one of my favourite vocalists in Kpop, alongside people like Baekhyun (Exo), Woosung (The Rose), Kihyun (Monsta X), Doyoung (NCT), Hyojin (ONF), and Jae and Young K from Day6. Some of my personal favourite songs by Onewe are Regulus, 0&4 and Q (feat. Hwasa), but I would also highly recommend their debut Reminisce all about, their newest song End of spring and especially their covers of Mamamoo's Hip and Hwasa's Twit. Their bassist/rapper Cya produces most of their music and has also produced for Oneus. They were on the show The Unit and Dongmyeong was also on Produce 101 with most of Oneus. The were originally called MAS0094 and have a lot of pre-debut music even before joining RBW. For Verivery, they have a storyline throughout their 3 most recent MVs, Tag tag tag, Lay back and Thunder (thunder was post-RTK but seperate to their RTK performances) so I would suggest watching those in order.
ONEUS has had 2 videos on 1thek called "Stage Break" where they *really* show off how great they are at performing. And Moonbyul and Solar reacted to the first one! You should definitely check that out too
And yeah 1 more thing... they themselves choreographed for valkyrie. Nd a song written easily chorus choreo was Hwanwoong's idea. Its like whichever choreo among theirs nd choreographers they feel the best gets chosen. Nd Ravn produced a track in the debut album called hero, their bsides are pure gold!!!

Omg yess Oneus!!! They really are such an amazing rookie group that really deserves more recognition! I really hope you check out their remaining mvs: Twilight and Lit, and especially their bside tracks including BingBing (it doesnt have an mv but a performance video) are just as amazing!! Also their Stage Break performances (Stage Break 1 : Dance Monkey Cover and Stage Break 2: Billie Eilish, BTS, SVT dance cover) oh my god are amazing~~ Oneus really shines with their acting and ability to convey concepts/themes so well! For some info Oneus is a 6 member rookie group that debuted in 2019! They have a whole supernatural celestial theme with their songs that talk about themes such as the sun, moon, stars, light & darkness. In fact Oneus in Korean 원어스 means "One Earth" and our fandom name is ToMoon. They chose this fandom name because just like the earth and moon, Oneus and the fans are always destined to be together wherever the other may go. A lot of the members have also participated on Produce 101 season 2 (same season as Wanna One) as well as YG's Mixnine show Also the deep voiced rapper is Leedo (main rapper, vocalist, dancer, 1997 liner). Hes also the 1st person that sings/starts Valkyrie. The member hitting those lovely octave notes in Come Back Home is Seoho! Hes also the same member in Valkyrie that has the blonde hair that you noticef Fun fact, Come Back Home was originally gonna be a bside track on their 2nd album with Twilight and then a possible title track contender with their 3rd album but they decided to release it now~ Also their new comeback this August 19 will be a continuation of Come Back Home storyline!
Oneus were really the first boy groups in a few years to really get me obsessed. In particular, it was "Lit", I literally could not get the song out of my head for the rest of the night after first listening to it. (Ironically, I didn't even know they made a comeback with "Lit" until a few weeks after, though I did follow them for their debut and with "Twilight".) The members: Ravn ("raven") - the eldest, and main rapper (the one with the cool mantle in "Valkyrie"), his stage name is inspired from the X-Men Seoho - main vocalist (the blonde in "Valkyrie"), he can do backflips on command Leedo - main rapper and vocalist, he's got a super deep voice but is actually super shy/introverted, and he likes to lift weights Keonhee - main vocalist, the tallest member, he's known as "the mouth of Oneus" since he sings well, likes to talk, and eats a lot LOL Hwanwoong - main dancer, and the shortest member, also known for his great expressions Xion ("she-on") - the youngest, and sub-vocalist, though he's quite dangerous since he's known to bite when teased (especially by Leedo lol) "Valkyrie" is interesting because they use a double-entendre, where the lyrics refer to their love who acts like their valkyrie, they also use Korean "balkiri" which is something like "to light up". It's also interesting because both rappers actually have singing parts in the song, plus, the two main vocalists don't actually sing the main chorus part (when the beat drops). Intriguing for a debut song, eh? The group has a very interesting concept since their name "Oneus" sounds like "One Earth" in Korean, so their comebacks have been related to the moon phases and such. Their fandom is called "To Moon"! They're also interesting because they're the first K-pop group to have 3 official fan colours, which represent Earth, the moon, and space. And their lightstick looks epic!! That aside, their first 3 major releases were like a trilogy of light. "Valkyrie" - light. "Twilight" - the setting sun."Lit" - the night, which has been "lit up". And then I saw "A Song Written Easily" represents sunrise. So the next comeback could be the start of a new trilogy! (What's also cool is that "Valkyrie" focuses on Leedo, "Twilight" focuses on Seoho, and "Lit" focuses on Hwanwoong. I'm curious if this will continue for the other members!) Yeah, I think "A Song Written Easily" was filmed by the same director/producer responsible for Mamamoo's "Starry Night". "Come Back Home" actually has a bit of a storyline, it's explained in their "Come Back Home" Concept MV that they released, and it even has English narration. Also, funny that you mention them "levelling up", since they have a song called "Level Up" that they promoted around the time of "Lit" XD And I have to mention their brother group Onewe, they're a band and they have some great songs, it would be a great idea to check them out some time soon, RBW is not to be underestimated :0
Please, please, please support their comeback, it's on August 19th. They deserved a lot more recognition. As you said, their evolution is amazing, that's what I love the most and that's why I fall in love with them every time, every comeback is different, it's better. You wondered if Come Back Home is the actual comeback of ONEUS but honestly... Come Back Home is like the teaser for the real comeback... at the end of the MV it says Come Back Home then "Home" was erased leaving Come Back... they also dropped the MV at 8:19 which was confirmed for the release date of their comeback 08/19/2020 so look forward for that day... You’d understand more of the Come Back Home video if you watched the concept film but it’s a song about begging a loved one to return home. However the story (from the trailer) is that the world was once ruled by six monarchs, who were loved and admired by everyone but they were jealous of Helios, god of the sun. Helios was jealous of the humans’ praise and worship of the monarchs so he threatened them with making the sun disappear forever if the six monarchs were not sacrificed to Helios. Finally the humans sacrificed the monarchs where they and their servants were cast to exile. He cursed them with a thirst for blood from the humans they cherished and once protected. Yet they only drank blood from evil people and continued to protect the humans but not the same way they had. The servants however hated humans for their betrayal to the monarchs and killed humans without mercy. A prophecy was given that a child would be born on the day of an eclipse to be used in a ceremony to bring an eternal night to humans. When the day of the eclipse came a child was born and a war between the monarchs and their servants began. Said in the lines “on the day of the eclipse a child was born as predicted; and the devastating war between the monarchs and their servants, to protect the child, lasted 10 years.” The war lasted ten years before the monarchs finally won but when cutting the neck of the last marquis he pledged he would be back for the child when the red moon appears again. yes, a song written easily was also filmed in new zealand! that's why it's so similar to starry night :) i've been following your rtk reactions on patreon and i'm so happy you checked out oneus! i'll give a brief intro to the members so you can have at least a couple names for the next episode of rtk: the oldest is Ravn, he's the main rapper at 2:02 and 15:51, his rapping is usually more melodic with great flow! Seoho is the next oldest, he's the main vocalist and the one who hit the high note in come back home (imo he has one of the most underrated, developed, beautiful voices in kpop)! The next member is Leedo- he's the main rapper with the hella deep voice but he's been getting a lot more vocal parts recently (especially in rtk) and his vocals are also really beautiful and completely different from his rap voice! Next is Keonhee, the other main vocalist at 8:21 (you may recognize him from rtk, i think he gets a lot of screentime- he also has a wonderful voice but his speaking voice has a slight lisp since he wears braces)! Next is Hwanwoong, the main dancer and the shortest one (just you wait for his dance solos in the next rtk episode- he has incredible stage presence- he was also the one who acted in oneus's round 1 performance)! the final, youngest member is named Xion and he's a vocalist at 7:51. He has a twin brother who is a member of Oneus's brother group, Onewe! Fun fact: I know you've been watching Produce 48, and Seoho, Keonhee, and Hwanwoong were actually on season 2 of Produce 101! Oneus was my fav male rookie group last year. Got to see them in NY during their US tour and they killed it despite missing one of the main singers, Seoho, due to illness. Terrific live vocals, rap and dance and they were charming as hell. A Song Written Easily is such an overlooked gem and I think it's quite unusual and interesting on several counts. There's the references to Mamamoo's Starry Night & Wind Flower MVs that make it seem like RBW artists are using a shared symbolic language. It's one of the only breakup songs I know that's about fond feelings for a departed lover rather than the usual crying in your beer sob stories about how someone hurt you. And I love how the MV expresses those feelings cinematically by starting in the city with the phone call and the sad piano chords (reality) and then cutting from Hwangwoon's face in the phone booth to him on the beach as he's transported by his memories of the lover and the song written easily pours out of him. The main body of the MV represents those feelings and is pure fantasy and longing (as in the scene where Ravn's hand disintegrates as he tries to grasp the flower) while capturing the wistful, melancholy feeling of cherishing someone you can't be with. It's hard to do something that's so sweet without becoming saccharine or maudlin but they pulled it off. And then at the end we return to reality and they're back in the city but this time they're smiling and the whistled melody remains in their ears. To relate it to the MMM's concepts for the 4 Season 4 Color project and the two MMM MVs referred to in ASWE, Oneus did a Spring song (attraction) about a Fall emotion/relationship stage (breakup). I think it's beautifully done.
yay! i really love oneus' music. this was a massive rtk spoiler for you (oops) but now you have the live performance to look forward to! and the good news is that you can be amped with the rest of us for oneus' actual comeback in a couple of weeks! it's one of my most anticipated comebacks of the year for sure. i saw them when they toured the states in the fall, and they were precious and amazing and still clearly very green. i'm so so proud of how much they've already grown, and i was particularly proud of them on rtk - they dug their heels in and fought, and their second round performance (of Lit! My fav of their title tracks!) was one of my favorite performances of the show.

I might be biased, but I think I’m the time period since their debut, there hasn’t been a boy group as good as Oneus (in that time). They’re the complete package for sure, and super slept on.
Wait till you see their upcoming comeback “Lived” The mv story teaser for the mv “To be or not to be is out” it is a sequel, the same story line as come back home. And the guy who did the whisper in Come back home, Ravn participated in writing the lyrics for *EVERY SINGLE SONG* of the album

I wasn't familiar with Oneus until I thought I'd check out this video but I 100% agree with you. Their musical sensibility and visual aesthetic really resonate with me. Since you like 'A Song Written Easily' by them, you'd probably like 'Rollin'' by B1A4. I feel it has a similar sound to it, no whistling, but a smooth melody (if that makes sense). I actually really like their song 'Come Back Home', it's a great come back for them. That highnote in come back home was done first as a joke during the recording. The producer loved it and asked him to do it for the song. IT WAS DONE AS A JOKE!!

Whenever I listen to Valkyrie I a) HAVE to scream out the fan chant because it's somehow drilled into my head and b) always get mildly angry because I'm reminded of all of their debut stages that were shortened on live shows

Come Back Home is from the finale of RTK, they have a Concept Film for the story of the song (and storyline). They'll have a comeback in August 19th. And all their MV slowly are connecting, some theories are emerged too.
And yes, A Song Written Easily was filmed in New Zealand like Starry Night by Mamamoo. The whistle was recorded by the leader and main vocalist from Onewe, they brother group. Hope you gonna catch them too! They are a band (play instruments) but omg, the main vocalist is insane with his high notes: Reminisce about all, Regulus, Q ft. Hwasa, End of Spring (Oneus makes a cameo in this one) are some of their song with MV.
I recommend Twilight (filmed in Italy and the most related to the storyline of Come Back Home) and Lit.

Fun facts: They participed in the creation, composition, production, lyrics and choreography of all their songs. In live performances they changes some moves and add ad lib and changes parts too, is awesome because always is something new to watch and enjoy.

AAAAAA I'M SO HAPPY YOUR REACTED TO ONEUS!!!!!!!!! Oneus are the first boygroup in years that caught my attention and I really enjoyed everything they put out so far ("LIT" is my personal favourite). I hope they'll get big one day. Their potential is enormous and they just keep getting better with every comeback. You can tell how hard they're working, bless them... And they're all really sweet guys too, they're so nice, funny and have such positive mindsets. Honestly, they deserve a lot of love and recognition.

I had a feeling you were going to love them. My patience paid off. A song written easily was my number 1 song of the year 2020, but Come back home blew me away in road to kingdom and this MV. I do still prefer the RTK performance over the MV because you can see the dance better. You will love it when you get that far. My heart is happy.
The most stunning thing is, that Seoho did. this high note with the four octaves for fun in the studio and then they decided to use it -- like.. THE TALENT

Yeah I loved Oneus before RTK but the imo had one of the biggest, if not the biggest, growth of all the group in RTK.
Please also react to their brother group Onewe when you can.
They are a band and their keyboardist, Dongmyeong is the fraternal twin of Oneus' maknae Xion. Onewe and Oneus have a song together called last song and their main vocalist, Yonghoon, is one of my favourite vocalists in Kpop, alongside people like Baekhyun (Exo), Woosung (The Rose), Kihyun (Monsta X), Doyoung (NCT), Hyojin (ONF), and Jae and Young K from Day6.
Some of my personal favourite songs by Onewe are Regulus, 0&4 and Q (feat. Hwasa), but I would also highly recommend their debut Reminisce all about, their newest song End of spring and especially their covers of Mamamoo's Hip and Hwasa's Twit.
Their bassist/rapper Cya produces most of their music and has also produced for Oneus. They were on the show The Unit and Dongmyeong was also on Produce 101 with most of Oneus. The were originally called MAS0094 and have a lot of pre-debut music even before joining RBW.
For Verivery, they have a storyline throughout their 3 most recent MVs, Tag tag tag, Lay back and Thunder (thunder was post-RTK but seperate to their RTK performances) so I would suggest watching those in order.

For some info Oneus is a 6 member rookie group that debuted in 2019! They have a whole supernatural celestial theme with their songs that talk about themes such as the sun, moon, stars, light & darkness. In fact Oneus in Korean 원어스 means "One Earth" and our fandom name is ToMoon. They chose this fandom name because just like the earth and moon, Oneus and the fans are always destined to be together wherever the other may go. A lot of the members have also participated on Produce 101 season 2 (same season as Wanna One) as well as YG's Mixnine show
Also the deep voiced rapper is Leedo (main rapper, vocalist, dancer, 1997 liner). Hes also the 1st person that sings/starts Valkyrie. The member hitting those lovely octave notes in Come Back Home is Seoho! Hes also the same member in Valkyrie that has the blonde hair that you noticef
Fun fact, Come Back Home was originally gonna be a bside track on their 2nd album with Twilight and then a possible title track contender with their 3rd album but they decided to release it now~
Also their new comeback this August 19 will be a continuation of Come Back Home storyline!
Oneus were really the first boy groups in a few years to really get me obsessed. In particular, it was "Lit", I literally could not get the song out of my head for the rest of the night after first listening to it. (Ironically, I didn't even know they made a comeback with "Lit" until a few weeks after, though I did follow them for their debut and with "Twilight".)
The members:
Ravn ("raven") - the eldest, and main rapper (the one with the cool mantle in "Valkyrie"), his stage name is inspired from the X-Men
Seoho - main vocalist (the blonde in "Valkyrie"), he can do backflips on command
Leedo - main rapper and vocalist, he's got a super deep voice but is actually super shy/introverted, and he likes to lift weights
Keonhee - main vocalist, the tallest member, he's known as "the mouth of Oneus" since he sings well, likes to talk, and eats a lot LOL
Hwanwoong - main dancer, and the shortest member, also known for his great expressions
Xion ("she-on") - the youngest, and sub-vocalist, though he's quite dangerous since he's known to bite when teased (especially by Leedo lol)
"Valkyrie" is interesting because they use a double-entendre, where the lyrics refer to their love who acts like their valkyrie, they also use Korean "balkiri" which is something like "to light up". It's also interesting because both rappers actually have singing parts in the song, plus, the two main vocalists don't actually sing the main chorus part (when the beat drops). Intriguing for a debut song, eh?
The group has a very interesting concept since their name "Oneus" sounds like "One Earth" in Korean, so their comebacks have been related to the moon phases and such. Their fandom is called "To Moon"! They're also interesting because they're the first K-pop group to have 3 official fan colours, which represent Earth, the moon, and space. And their lightstick looks epic!!
That aside, their first 3 major releases were like a trilogy of light. "Valkyrie" - light. "Twilight" - the setting sun."Lit" - the night, which has been "lit up". And then I saw "A Song Written Easily" represents sunrise. So the next comeback could be the start of a new trilogy! (What's also cool is that "Valkyrie" focuses on Leedo, "Twilight" focuses on Seoho, and "Lit" focuses on Hwanwoong. I'm curious if this will continue for the other members!)
Yeah, I think "A Song Written Easily" was filmed by the same director/producer responsible for Mamamoo's "Starry Night".
"Come Back Home" actually has a bit of a storyline, it's explained in their "Come Back Home" Concept MV that they released, and it even has English narration.
Also, funny that you mention them "levelling up", since they have a song called "Level Up" that they promoted around the time of "Lit" XD
And I have to mention their brother group Onewe, they're a band and they have some great songs, it would be a great idea to check them out some time soon, RBW is not to be underestimated :0

You wondered if Come Back Home is the actual comeback of ONEUS but honestly... Come Back Home is like the teaser for the real comeback... at the end of the MV it says Come Back Home then "Home" was erased leaving Come Back... they also dropped the MV at 8:19 which was confirmed for the release date of their comeback 08/19/2020 so look forward for that day...

You’d understand more of the Come Back Home video if you watched the concept film but it’s a song about begging a loved one to return home.
However the story (from the trailer) is that the world was once ruled by six monarchs, who were loved and admired by everyone but they were jealous of Helios, god of the sun. Helios was jealous of the humans’ praise and worship of the monarchs so he threatened them with making the sun disappear forever if the six monarchs were not sacrificed to Helios. Finally the humans sacrificed the monarchs where they and their servants were cast to exile. He cursed them with a thirst for blood from the humans they cherished and once protected. Yet they only drank blood from evil people and continued to protect the humans but not the same way they had. The servants however hated humans for their betrayal to the monarchs and killed humans without mercy. A prophecy was given that a child would be born on the day of an eclipse to be used in a ceremony to bring an eternal night to humans. When the day of the eclipse came a child was born and a war between the monarchs and their servants began. Said in the lines “on the day of the eclipse a child was born as predicted; and the devastating war between the monarchs and their servants, to protect the child, lasted 10 years.” The war lasted ten years before the monarchs finally won but when cutting the neck of the last marquis he pledged he would be back for the child when the red moon appears again. The battle scenes in the video are of the last battle of the war where the monarchs won.

the oldest is Ravn, he's the main rapper at 2:02 and 15:51, his rapping is usually more melodic with great flow! Seoho is the next oldest, he's the main vocalist and the one who hit the high note in come back home (imo he has one of the most underrated, developed, beautiful voices in kpop)! The next member is Leedo- he's the main rapper with the hella deep voice but he's been getting a lot more vocal parts recently (especially in rtk) and his vocals are also really beautiful and completely different from his rap voice! Next is Keonhee, the other main vocalist at 8:21 (you may recognize him from rtk, i think he gets a lot of screentime- he also has a wonderful voice but his speaking voice has a slight lisp since he wears braces)! Next is Hwanwoong, the main dancer and the shortest one (just you wait for his dance solos in the next rtk episode- he has incredible stage presence- he was also the one who acted in oneus's round 1 performance)! the final, youngest member is named Xion and he's a vocalist at 7:51. He has a twin brother who is a member of Oneus's brother group, Onewe!
Fun fact: I know you've been watching Produce 48, and Seoho, Keonhee, and Hwanwoong were actually on season 2 of Produce 101! (the one that created wanna one)

Oneus was my fav male rookie group last year. Got to see them in NY during their US tour and they killed it despite missing one of the main singers, Seoho, due to illness. Terrific live vocals, rap and dance and they were charming as hell.
A Song Written Easily is such an overlooked gem and I think it's quite unusual and interesting on several counts. There's the references to Mamamoo's Starry Night & Wind Flower MVs that make it seem like RBW artists are using a shared symbolic language. It's one of the only breakup songs I know that's about fond feelings for a departed lover rather than the usual crying in your beer sob stories about how someone hurt you. And I love how the MV expresses those feelings cinematically by starting in the city with the phone call and the sad piano chords (reality) and then cutting from Hwangwoon's face in the phone booth to him on the beach as he's transported by his memories of the lover and the song written easily pours out of him. The main body of the MV represents those feelings and is pure fantasy and longing (as in the scene where Ravn's hand disintegrates as he tries to grasp the flower) while capturing the wistful, melancholy feeling of cherishing someone you can't be with. It's hard to do something that's so sweet without becoming saccharine or maudlin but they pulled it off. And then at the end we return to reality and they're back in the city but this time they're smiling and the whistled melody remains in their ears. To relate it to the MMM's concepts for the 4 Season 4 Color project and the two MMM MVs referred to in ASWE, Oneus did a Spring song (attraction) about a Fall emotion/relationship stage (breakup). I think it's beautifully done.
yay! i really love oneus' music. this was a massive rtk spoiler for you (oops) but now you have the live performance to look forward to! and the good news is that you can be amped with the rest of us for oneus' actual comeback in a couple of weeks! it's one of my most anticipated comebacks of the year for sure.
i saw them when they toured the states in the fall, and they were precious and amazing and still clearly very green. i'm so so proud of how much they've already grown, and i was particularly proud of them on rtk - they dug their heels in and fought, and their second round performance (of Lit! My fav of their title tracks!) was one of my favorite performances of the show.

Please do check out their japan comeback video as well. Their song 808 basically hit differently than lit and it is such a very inspirational lyrics. They truly level up and slaps on each and every comeback. They even got a song title level up! Haha.

I want to thank you for this video. I only recently subscribed to your channel after watching your Day6 album reviews. I wasn't familiar with Oneus until I thought I'd check out this video but I 100% agree with you. Their musical sensibility and visual aesthetic really resonate with me. I don't think I would have found them if not for you.
Since you like 'A Song Written Easily' by them, you'd probably like 'Rollin'' by B1A4. I feel it has a similar sound to it, no whistling, but a smooth melody (if that makes sense). I actually really like their song 'Come Back Home', it's a great come back for them. I didn't take much notice of it the first time I heard, but it's definitely grown on me some :) Thanks as always for continuing your travels with kpop and us your happy virtual companions
