Oneus are 4th gen! Valkyrie is their debut (that's why they look so baby) and was released January 2019. As you very quickly realized they're a group that plays around with sounds and concepts a lot lol. They're currently preparing for a May comeback and we're absolutely clueless as to what it will sound like, but we're being led to believe it will be ✨sexy✨. That could honestly mean anything coming from them.
The plucked stringed instrument you hear in LIT and LUNA is likely a gayageum (가야금) and Ravn's name is pronounced like 'raven'.
idk how long their setlist for kpopflex will be but they're most likely to perform most of the songs you listened to here plus No Diggity and Come Back Home. Some of their other popular title tracks like Black Mirror and A Song Written Easily are wild cards. I hope you enjoy their performances at the concert! I saw them on their American tour and I was STILL blown away even though I went in well aware of how talented they are.

Glad you enjoy them! Like Mamamoo, they nailed every concept and music genre. They wrote their own lyrics, composed their own songs and even make the choreography since predebut!

I recommend Black Mirror, A Song Written Easily, Come Back Home, and one of their 'theatre projects' (B-sides with MV) but specifically either Life is Beautiful or Shut up Crazy Hot (the theatre projects tend to be based on movies. Life is Beautiful is based on Dead Poets Society while Shut up Crazy Hot is based around Mad Max. Both songs are B-sides. But... Luna was also supposed to be a B-side, but the boys convinced the CEO to let them release it as their main comeback song and it got them their first win!). Also, Oneus is involved with writing, composing, and producing their own songs. Ravn has the most writing cred, followed by Leedo, and then Seoho. And Hwanwoong who is main dancer helps with their choreography. And Seoho is the one who tends to do the stunt like tricks (backflips on stage). Leedo and Seoho are my dual bias' which is funny since they're the Tom and Jerry of the group lol. They bicker all the time! x'D Ravn is my main bias wrecker. They were on Road to Kingdom and gained the nickname of 'Stage Geniuses' by being true to who they are and telling meaningful stories with their song choices (they chose a song about bullying, a song they did with the The Boyz to convey the road to being an idol, they did a Romeo and Juliet theme, etc.). And they did RTK while in the mist of their A Song Written Easily comeback AND Seoho hurt his ankle and still killed their Lit performance by shocking everyone by RAPPING! (he's Main Vocal. However, he originally auditioned as a rapper.). They also have 3 self made MV's for B-sides that show their personality (Eye Contact, What Are You Doing, and I.P.U) that you might want to check out. Also, I always recommend the fruit dance version of Twilight because EVERYONE deserves to be bias wrecked by Xion being an orange and taking his role so damn seriously that you will crack up the entire time! x'D
Next song: A Song Written Easily, Bbusyeo. If you have time, all the rest of Oneus' title tracks, all of them are great. For dance practice, Luna, and To Be or Not To Be.

Hello! So glad you liked Oneus! They're one of my ult groups along with their twin band Onewe. If you like theater and musical theater, then Oneus is definitely for you. Their songs are very different but always equally catchy and never fall flat (at least for me). They're excellent vocalists and dancers. The one you're pointing out is Leedo, who is a rapper but also a good singer, as is the other rapper, Ravn. Hwanwoong is the main dancer, Seoho the main vocalist, Xion subvocalist (but he's a darling and improving so much) and visual, and Keonhee lead vocalist. I do hope you'll continue checking them out. They're a rising star in kpop lately and are touring internationally. They never disappoint!

I don't stan ONEUS (I have no time or brain space), but they've been in my periphery since Road to Kingdom and I never hit skip when they shuffle on when I'm listening to music. I'm also obsessed with Hwanwoongs face, I feel like he looks like a doll or a pixie or something not real (in the best way). He always catches my eye when I'm watching content for groups I follow that they crop up in, end of year things or collabs or whatever.
Two of thier songs (from 2021 I think) that I listen to constantly are Black Mirror - think Michael Jackson, disco, electronic, absolute bop-, and No Diggity - electronic, heavy like distorted rocky guitar, really thumpy and loud, on my gym playlist, makes me wanna punch things. I wish I had the knowledge of music or its terminology to properly explain songs I like, but all I can say is thumpy loud bop.🤣😅
Yes, Oneus! They are amazing. They are maybe one of the few groups that have all good songs. They are awesome, talented guys in kpop. Love them!! You should check their other songs.

Firstly.... Rule number one: There's always time and space to stan Oneus because they are so freaking amazing!!! 😍😍
They are my ultimate group and when I heard that they'll be performing here in Germany and only 3 hours from me I HAD to get a ticket for Kpop Flex! Wasn't THAT interested in going there although there are quite a few other groups performing I'm interested in but Oneus changed all of it 😂 I still can't believe that I'll be seeing them LIVE in less than 3 weeks!!! And front of stage, too! I'm probably gonna die 😱
Btw... My bias is Seoho, the singer whose tone you liked and the one you called pretty (and yes he is ♥️)
All of the members are super talented and have great personalities ☺️
Please check out their other music and maybe a guide (there's one that's about 35 minutes and from January 2021.... Not up to date but still the best one in my opinion 😅) Their music is so diverse but still always sounds like Oneus.... It's incredible really! And check out their comeback on May 17th 😊

actually valkyrie is their debut song and they debuted in 2019 which makes them a 4th gen group. however they are probably the oldest 4th gen group (their ages are 1995-2000) so yeah their feeling overall is very different and more mature and their personalities are very distinct and lovable
yes they are mamamoo's younger brothers from rbw agency. its great that you will be seeing them live since they are known as 'stage geniuses' and 'concept kings'. they all have outstanding vocals and they write their own songs (their bsides are gold!) and come up with their choreos and concepts.

Ha, yeah, i knew you were in trouble right at the beginning of this video.
They are indeed under the same label as mamamoo, the third of the five groups that company has. And all five are dangerous to get to know, as they're all full of multitalented artists who are powerful singers with incredible stage presence
Oneus goes for a more 'typical' boy group concept than the other boy groups in the company, but as you've seen here, they're very diverse with their discography and like to experiment. They also create their own choreography, which often includes climbing/jumping off each other and tossing hwangwoong (shortest member + incredible dancer) around like a rag doll
It may not always seem it, but their title track mvs have a continuing storyline (easiest to see with the 'darker' songs, but even the traditional ones and lighter themed ones fit in it too) that, at its simplest can be broken down to one word: 'vampires'
There's a lot more going on than just that, of course, and some of the story is explained in catchup/story videos narrated (in english) by the solo artist alexa who, while not under rbw, is pretty close with all its artists (she's the only artist under her label, which films practically all the mvs for rbw groups and she uses the rbw practice and recording facilities)
I don't know if anyone's recommended it yet, but you should definitely listen to the RtK version of Lit too. It's absolute bomb. Everyone else also recommended really good songs, but I would also throw "Rewind" into it. I just love that song... granted, I love all of Oneus's songs. Lol.
Also, definitely check out all of their intro song videos too. They're fire.

Lit is a korean traditional modern mix - obviously if they're going to do an asian concept it'll be korean
(sorry if this comes off rude, i've watched too many reactions to lit where people say its chinese when there is no reason why an all korean group would do a chinese concept so it always gets me on edge)
I understand the frustration, though realistically, if like me someone comes to the group knowing nothing about them, they wouldn’t necessarily know that they’re all Korean? There are plenty of groups that have Chinese, Japanese, or Thai members 😅

The guy you like is Ravn one of the rappers, he's my 2nd bias.. The rapper with the deep vocal, who btw starts the song singing is Leedo and he's my bias.. Oneus have some amazing concepts, they're also my newest addition to my list of favourite groups 😊

yes keep up with them! you have GOT to be here for the current comeback! we have had teasers dropping for the new album 'trickster' and story films have just dropped. the first one was today then on the 9th is the 2nd one. the cb (title: bring it on) is 2 days after kpopflex! you'll definitely not be able to resist checking them out!
Stan Oneus you won't regret it, Known as Concept Kings/ masters. Oneus doesn't have a bad song even their B-sides are amazing. Since I got into them 2 years ago I have not looked back they are truly talented and so underrated. I just saw them in concert for their 2022 Bloodmoon tour and can NOT wait for the next tour they were that fabulous. To Be Or Not To Be (Picking between life and death) is part of their story line and you can watch the Concept films and storyline films linked below to understand it.They also have a brother group Onewe, The keyboardist for Onewe is Oneus's Xion's twin brother (Xion was the one with Long hair in Luna) Onewe are amazingly talented as well. Leedo, Rapper with deep voice is also my bias, His duality in rapping and singing draws me to him. Have fun seeing them at the festival
I love all the traditional elements in Luna--they really mixed it with modern music well. There's no English lyrics, which is a cool thing nowadays imo. And I'm in love with the Korean title of the song, which is written in Hanja and translates as "beauty under the moon." Not only that, but it's the name of a flower that only blooms at night, which, if you're able to read the lyrics (because god knows I was distracted the first time I watched), you'll catch all the references.
And yes, you're right, they're under the same company as Mamamoo. RBW has very strong producers, and the majority of the music that they release is produced in-house. The producers they work with are familiar with their artists, which probably also helps when it comes to making music. Not only that, but they're one of the companies that actively lets their artists contribute to the music. (Bear in mind, the company also has their shortcomings, such as poor promotions and such. But they're not the worst to be at either, especially for creative idols.) If you choose to continue listening to them, I hope you enjoy. I'm a casual fan of theirs, but their music is always SO good. :)
Also, if you like (alternative?) rock, there's another RBW band *band, not just group* named Onewe. They're a brother group to Oneus, and in fact, there's a pair of twins split between the two groups. 😂 It's a favorite fun fact to tell. No pressure, of course. For "Lit" there is Explained by a Korean video from DKDKTV, so I recommend you to watch it even on your own. There is A LOT of traditional Korean things to unpack here, and since you've said you are learning Korean, it's great to be aware of their culture.
Besides, the stuff ONEUS is referring to in "Lit" MV and lyrics are very often used by other kpop artists, when they are doing traditional inspired performances, so it's useful for us fans to know these things 😊
Also a fun fact - the real names of ONEUS's members are the names of some big Korean historical figures, like kings and poets (they have creative parents lol), so it's really fitting for them to do a traditional concept 😉 They were destined to do it!
They were discussing their names a little in "Weekly Idol" - the episode they did together with ATEEZ, where Mingi temporarily joined ONEUS, as someone in the comments mentioned 😂❤️ that was hilarious btw, he left ATEEZ in a heartbeat, when the opportunity came haha.
Thank you for reacting to Oneus. They are super talented. You are correct they are coming off of a 14 city tour in the US. I’m lucky enough to say I was able to see them perform and they were amazing!!! Mics were on!! They contribute to lyrics, composition, production and choreography ever since they debuted.
Although the member have roles they have often stated that it doesn’t really mean much. They pick the best member for the part instead of by role. So you have the main rapper singing and sometimes you get the main vocal doing a rap. All these boys can do both.
In Valkyrie the main rapper you pointed out first was Ravn then later in the song you said you were in love with Leedo ( other main rapper)and needed to know who he was.😆 Fun fact Leedo is who started the song with beautiful vocals.
I’m sure you will love their stage presence when you see them. They are also versatile and change up sound and choreography constantly.
I would recommend No Diggity for a more in your face concept, Come Back Home for drama and A Song Written Easily for a gentler side. 😊

As someone who saw them in their U.S tour, you’re in for a treat when you see them in the festival. They’re great performers and are insanely good live! They have a brother group OneWe, which is a band and have a flawless discography. Plus the maknae of OneUs Xion and OneWe’s Dongmyeong are twins.
I highly recommend A song written easily, Blue sky, Red thread, I.P.U, Youth, Black mirror, Life is beautiful, Sh*t *p, batgo, crazy hot, Comeback home, and other songs.

The things you refer to as traditional Chinese are actually traditional Korean. There has been a lot of shared culture influences over the last few millenia.

In terms of music, I suggest checking out A Song Written Easily and Black Mirror. Imo all of their dance practices are very satisfying to watch, definitely would recommend watching. Aside from that, their Stage Break videos on 1thek might be worth watching.

Actually the instruments are Korean, it's the haegeum mainly, also some drums etc. But don't worry for mistaking it to a Chinese one, because they have instruments that have similar sound
The traditional instruments in Luna And Lit are not Chinese but Korean (Kayagum, Haegeum, Jeongak daegeum…). Cultural reference are also likend to the Korean tradition, although there are influences and connections between the two culture (but I see more similarities with the Japanese culture).
Oh c'mon! The heart wants what it wants, and it's shouting for Oneus :) Go ahead and let yourself fall for them, you won't regret it. And can I say, I'm so green with envy that you'll be seeing them (and Mamamoo) up close at Kpop Flex! Enjoy them for us who can't watch them live .

If you want to see them live I HIGHLY recommend you watching World is one Concert stage (held by channel it's Live, available on TH-cam). That stage is now my go-to every once in a while bc for a very long time I have never heard a live stage where they lower the backtrack that low (music shows nowadays don't actually do that and I doubt that it's bc many groups cannot sing live well).
Anw that stage is like the best bc I could clearly hear how they sing 90% live on the top of the backtrack while dancing so fcking hard (I'd take every crumb bc I love live LIVE stages and they made true, yummy crumbs too lol).
