Yeahhhh Vivienne was literally the one that made me side eye Solas when I had got to Skyhold. SHE HAD EVERYONES CARDS. For her to say she couldnt get a read on someone I was like HMMMM. 👀😒 Remember when she told him he needed omnipotence to accomplish his goal. She knew something was up and called it out like a G.
@@8-bithaunted525 "Morrigan is more likable than Vivienne" Right. The woman who supports genocide in a Circle mostly of innocents mages and *hates* when Warden helps people or act kindly. We have to laugh. This fandom is such a joke
@Lucas This fandom tries to much to hide their racism. They can be more friendly with LGBT characters, but with Vivienne they treat her as the worst person in the world. Where is she the worst person in the world when there is egg man planning to destroy the world with genocides and mages exploding Chantrys with many innoncets peoples? I know too well why Vivienne gets more hate than they do.
Also, at the time she said that about Solas--I had been thinking the same but no one else seemed like they noticed it. I felt weird noticing something when Vivienne did.
I think it is a noticeable thing, and a lot of people do seem to question is in his banter - Cassandra, Bull, Blackwall, Vivienne. I just think that most of them thought he had his reasons, and there was no point in diggining, he is extremely private and doesn't let anyone close most of the time. I doubt anyone could have imagined he was the elven god lol. Having said that, how in the hells the elf inquisitor - Lavellan - never suspected anything wrong with him, especially if it was female romancing him. I feel like he several times let himself slip a little in front of them, almost on purpose, to give them pause to think. How the fear demon in the Fade calls him "harellan", which means trickster, or rebel. How he loves wolves, and carries a wolf's jawbone as his necklace in plain sight. How Abelas, when you enter the temple with Solas says "You stumble through here at the side of one of our own.", and yet when Lavellan asks him to help Dalish he gets angry and calls her shem, "You are not my people!". How Abelas says to Solas "Elvhen, such as you?", to which Solas answers "Yes, such as I." How after Solas breaks up with her, he lets Cole speak, but only to a certain point "He hurts, an old pain from before where everyone sang the same. You are real, and that means everyone could be real. It changes everything, but it can't. They sleep, masked in the mirrors, but to wake them....", and only then he stops him. Surely, he would not let Cole say anything in this instance, if he didn't want to give Lavellan some sort of peace. With all these information, Lavellan should figure out something is off, but we are never able to question him, it's frustrating.
I always have a love/hate relationship with Vivienne. I could never bring myself to support her (cause the idea of re-establish a failed system made no sense) but I do love her character and always befriend her. Also love that you can tell if Vivienne likes you by the way she address you, nice detail for them to have put in the game.
See, I don't think she'd disagree with the idea that the system failed. A system of education and protection from and for mages is an absolute necessity though.
@@Pfisiar22 Creating a system of education for mages is absolutely necessary. DA has never sugercoated how powerful even a single mage can be, which is great. But it would have to be a new system that doesn't completely segregate mages from society. Vivienne would however never establish a system that she herself did not personally benefitted from, which is confirmed by the ending epilogue if she is elected divine. Viv is a cool character but yeah I could never bring myself to elect her in my playthroughs.
Vivienne is basically a Disney Villain working for the Good Guys, and I love her character for that. She's such a b****, but she's so entertaining that I can't hate her for it.
I honestly love Vivienne, she’s smart and opinionated and full of sass and shade, the party banter is quite funny (see unwashed apostate hobo, titcicles, and “I was well stocked with that particular shade of viper, so I sent it back” for evidence) and quite honestly reminds me of Morrigan in Origins. A sassy mage that doesn’t get along great with most of the companions, but when she trusts the player character she becomes a loyal ally and potentially a good friend, but is still very willing to criticize decisions. I never really understood why people don’t like her, aside from the fact she has a lot of opinions that a lot of players disagree with (and comes across as a bit stand-off-ish, but I mean so did morrigan and we love her!) Despite the fact I disagree with her stance on the mages and templars, I can understand her reasoning and Personal history behind her opinions.
She outright says herself she thinks she's better than everyone else in dialogue with Sera. She's constantly patronizing people. And she's a selfish, entitled, elitist POS.
I guess when you put everything into perspective she's just a booshie version of Origins Morrigan. Only real difference being is that she's the Morrigan who grew up in the circle and had to be social and so her focus turned towards that, while Morrigan grew up in the woods and was basically made to be anti-social, so her focus turned towards all things magic. While Viv's "guardians" were templars and her husband The Duke. Morrigans was Flemeth, The Witch of the Wilds.
Vivienne will never be loyal to you. She is the player of the Game, and the Inquisitor - while if she likes you, she will respect you - but what she can get out of you will always be on top, she is extremely manipulative, and taking anything she says at face value is setting yourself up for a betrayal and failure. I like Vivienne as a character, wonderful, but I will never trust her, or do I like her as a person.
It triggers right after the scene where Inquisitor meets Hawke in the Skyhold. Vivienne considers him as Hawke's spy who was with them only to ensure that Inquisition is not close to catching the Champion of Kirkwall.
My thing with Vivienne is she managed to keep up and out do Solas despite him wanting to free mages. She managed to use her power to help mages even though it was small(unless you make her Divine then it's the best for Mages). She is intelligent enough to understand Solas is hiding something with all that knowledge. The only thing Solas had against her was he was a god and he wasn't restricted by Circle standards.
"Reminds me of a pup begging for attention" I hate to admit--but I thought the same thing. I usually adore the older, mentor character and so I figured I'd naturally love Blackwall. But as I got to know him--and he was a douchebag over and over again--I was like: Fuck your bearded tears, Blackwall. I've got too much shit to worry about to constantly cater to your insecurity.
sailtheplains you get triggered by blackwall??? Strange, everyone always posts how Dorian is so insecure , he runs off and joins the Inquisition because he's trying to get attention from Daddy.
I dislike Blackwall for feeling so entitled to whore the wardens treaties and right of conscription like he's not o ly a warden but the fcking warden commander, and he's soo over the top with his charade
We had a tough to time to get to know each other, this Madame de Fer and my Inquisitors. I only on my third run now finally managed to get with her on good foot before the Snowwhite quest and already thought before that, I would never manage to like her for more but just perfect Bitchfight-Banter with Dorian. However I am happy I finally got to see what is going on behind her mask. She has a good heart behind that. :) I like it that she never really outright rudely lashes out against any of the other companions, especially not with the ones romanced with your Inquisitor. I mean, we know she can without breaking the rules of the Game.
Vivienne had post trauma disorder after her Harrowing because a demon almost possessed her and the Templars almost killed her. So, of course Wynne would be more open minded about spirits than Vivienne. Vivienne is a Loyalist mage with post trauma disorder Wynne an Aequitarian who was saved by a spirit. Seriously, you trying to rival Wynne and Vivienne in every Vivienne video is kind of weird. Viv's Harrowing: "Cole: Everything bright, roar of anger as the demon rears. No, I will not fall.
