Tip on your fridge if you get some reflectix and make a cover for your fridge it will help keep it from running so much. Especially since it's in the hottest part of the van. Just don't cover the fan area. Lulu on Lulu's way has an episode where she talks in depth about it. I've done if for my little fridge and it helps a bunch. U can just get a cheap small size roll at Lowe's or home Depot. Here in NC we've had multiple days of triple digit heat index warnings. The heat is everywhere and it's awful. Glad you found a friendly vanlife town that is plenty cool.
I place wool blankets over my 12v refrigerators for insulation (without blocking the air vents). I bought the blankets on Amazon and it makes a huge difference. My refrigerators run far less than if I had left them uncovered.

You picked the ideal site. Close to the shower and toilet. But far enough away that you wouldn’t be bothered by the noise from people going that way. Love the music you put with the video. It was a beautiful area to bad you couldn’t stay for a week.
Jealous of your temps. In the 100’s where I’m at with no end in sight.
Florence has a great bunch of thrift stores!!! If you like to second-hand shop, take a look!!!
I've lived in Oregon my whole life - Florence is a great little town. Honeyman is a gorgeous campground.

Hello. I haven't watched you forever. I kind of quit watching TH-cam and I happen to be on this morning and found your channel. I used to watch a lot when you were a camp host at that one campground in Southern Oregon

When I was a kid in the mid 60's we lived on River Road in Eugene. We then moved to Winston for a couple years before moving back to MN. In the late 90's I took my kids to Florence & Newport .
Thats one big reason why i love your channel, you let the community know where it is safe to stay! Thank you so much! Oh, im talking about boondocking.
I agree this is going to be on my bucket list. The only thing on my bucket list is to see a whale. I feel like this is my state to do it.

I totally agree! I was in Montana and high tailed it to the WA then OR coast for 67-72 degree highs. Ahhhhhhh- what a welcome breath of fresh, cool sea air! 💙🌊💙

Good morning, good to see you and Joey. My wife and I just got a new addition to our family. We now have a 6 week old Begal. Her name is Maggie and she is registered. We have our first vet appointment the 7th to begin her shots. We got her to be a companion to our Yorkie, Lilly. But Lilly is 7 years old and she is not very patient with Maggie as of yet. Being a baby she is the terror of the house from both my wife and myself and Lilly. But she is just adorable and we love her. Sorry for the length of this, have a great day.

Grew up, camping in Oregon. Their campgrounds and beaches are great. Would love, to live there.

4:12. There's a Habitat for humanity store. Their thrift shops in Oregon are great places for bargains on things to build out your van. I always check them out. Never know what bargains you might find there.
In addition to excellent state parks, there are also lots of Forest Service campgrounds on the coast near Florence. They're cheaper - 1/2 price for seniors with discount pass. A few have showers. most don't

Trust me when I say this, Beach area person that I am, No bare footed creature wants to walk on sand dunes in 112 degree temps. :) Stay in the forest and enjoy that beautiful campsite .

Honeyman State Park is the best... My family and I have spent many trips to the coast camped at this campground.. I would highly recommend if your traveling the coastline on Hwy 101 you stop and spend a little time exploring!

Beverly Beach State Campground is almost exactly the same, huge, pretty cheap, well-maintained and same look. I stayed there in my van, and a few times the neighbors were insane until 2 in the morning, but other times I was the only one in my loop! It's just over from Corvallis, Oregon, North of Newport Beach.
Honeyman also has sand dunes and atv rental close by. There was a bit of roaring going on when I was there but not horrible. A real family feel to it. Does Beverly have dunes? I love exploring them on foot. I will definitely check out Beverly, love that whole area. I see Beverly is going to be under construction so will have to time it right.😊

Most campgrounds will let you check in early, unlike hotels. If the site is vacant, they usually are very accomodating if you arrive earlier than their check in time. ;-)

Big rolling sand dunes great for riding quads or they have a big buggy to take people out for dune rides.

I had a beautiful Honda minivan and it just couldn’t be fixed any more .. I had to get rid of it .. I’m heart broken .. I have a beautiful Subaru Forester BUT ! It’s to small for me and my pit bull little lady .. I’m considering getting a Dodge mini van .. 😊🤗🫶🏻✌️😎🌻🌻🌻🌻

Cash is king, always. I keep a $20 bill tucked between my cell phone and phone case for the times I need to use cash.

Fairly new to your channel, love it. West coast on my bucket list. I bet your puppy would be more comfortable with a harness, always feel collar leash lot pulling on their tender necks

Love your videos! I’m planning to go full time in about 1.5 years (I retire then). I have a plant-based diet as well so love seeing your meals! I am going to have to try to to find that plantspired Korean steak!! I just saw a quick glance of your oven on top of your camp stove- in an upcoming video can you show how well that fits/works- I have only seen the camp oven on a coleman stove- I have a gas 1 stove so would like more info on the camp stove use! Keep making great videos! I keep adding new places to go based on your videos! The list is getting long! 💜💜💜

I love living on the Oregon Coast. Have you ever been to Humbug Mountain State Park down near Port Orford? A few years ago, we went camping down there so much to see and do. I can't walk as much as I like, but there are so many viewpoints I can see a lot from the road. Also, up near Newport is Beverly Beach state park. It was a bit spendier and more crowded, but lots of vegetation there. We live near Tubman so never camped there but we've walked around the lake a couple of times. There's a dog area where I like to ride my bike. Been a few years tho.
@@Donley76What kind of rig? We were in our car and tent, but since then we got a minivan for sleeping and only occasionally put up our newer to us teepee tent. We used tent sides in the back to make an outside/inside "room." We also mainly disperse camp.

Hmm, I just looked up the review on Google Map of the Florence public library. Wow, they have open hours all 7 days a week. It’s not part of the county system. I usually look up public libraries in my travels.
