First heard "The Danger" back in May 2011 when I first discovered synthwave music. So glad that, like Power Glove's contribution to "Far Cry 3: Rex Viper", it's now getting some recognition outside the synthwave social scene.
Blazing Chrome is what Contra: Rogue Corps should've been. I have both the Switch and Steam versions, and this game is fucking amazing. Great soundtrack too. Contra: Rogue Corps is a sad embarrassment like what Konami is now. If you want a Contra clone with some Metal Slug, Mega Man X, and Space Harrier (flying mech stage in Mission 4) thrown into the mix, then I highly recommend picking this up. I would get it on a sale because this game is short.
Boy, that Stage 2 was amazing. The bike part was really well executed, then aboard the train I felt Megaman X4 vibes (Slash Beast). Killer OST for a hardcore game, love it
You've done a good thing for humanity by ripping this. I'm sure there will be a LE that comes with an OST when the physical release comes out later this year, but for now, having the tracks on youtube is a godsend.
This is one of the best platformer games of 2019. It took me back to CONTRA THE ALIEN WARS in SuperN. I love the soundtrack the characters are great for this game so well incorporated to all the top sci fi platformer games of the past. You basically have Contra,Ninja Gaiden and Double dragon in it. Gread smoothie mix baby!💪😎🍧
The final boss theme for this game might be one of the best ever. How it changes with the phases kinda and progresses with the battle is awesome. My son and I always run boss rush and crank the last one up!
I like how the composer understands the sound limitations of what I'm assuming is an arcade sound chip, like how the samples have a lo-fi sound. I'm curious to know if this is purely from a chip or just an imitation.

Interestingly, the music is programmed into what seems like mono audio. The composer uploaded some non-finalized tracks onto his soundcloud like a year ago but those are are mixed properly. Straight from ingame, because the decompilers of data.win I've use kinda sucked. Just Audacity, no sfx, stand in place for the track to loop once, make it double in audacity, remove the awkward pauses of the tracks, because Game Maker is really dumb around this, add fade at the end and boom, it's done.

This has more of a Sega Genesis sound to it if you ask me.
@@jakoski the sega genesis and some arcades do sound similar but no way can the genesis produce this quality.
The Genesis and many arcade kits use Yamaha soundchips, the YM2612 for the Genesis and the YM2151 for the arcade.
