The BTS main dancer is back on the music scene with a new song! I'm talking about 지민 (Jimin) 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' Official Track Video.
This song is very different from the style that Kim Jim had proposed to us in his first solo project, Face, but no less valid.
지민 (Jimin) 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' Official Track Video is a song that is very reminiscent of the American musical style. It's impossible not to think of Broadway when you listen to it. The music video is, in my opinion, a tribute to The Wizard of Oz, and even the title of the song seems to recall the famous novel.
Jimin from BTS has outdone himself, offering the public a fresh and light song, perfect for the summer period and which wants positivity and light-heartedness to all his fans.

He actually said he drew inspiration for his new song and video loosely based on The Beatles album: Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The album came out in 1967 and then in 1978 a movie based on the album was made featuring the Bee Gees.
Jimin is a Beatles fan; and in fact, when he was promoting Face he went to NYC to perform on the Jimmy Fallon show; while there he also filmed a short documentary for Vogue magazine where he can be seen going into a record store that sells old vinyl albums and he can be seen with the Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album in his hand which he purchased that day.

BTS first met with Army at June 12 in a show and made the official debut at June 13th with the One More Dream MV. That is the refference.

BTS official debut performance was next day on June 13. Also in the dance, the choreography, including the one for the dance challenge on tiktok, Jimin is even doing in sign language, the hand signs, for I love you, while dancing, ❤️ 👍🙏🥰☺️

❣It’s Jimin’s altered voice doing the intro, as the announcer. Also Jimin & Loco sing live, aside from using mics, even wearing ear-ins. The “backup band” consists of legendary, genius producer Pdogg, who worked with BTS since beginning as producer & songwriter, also producers GHSTLOOP and EVAN, all 3 also worked alongside with Jimin for his first solo album, 2023’s FACE, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as for MUSE his 2nd album that will be released July 19 KST, July 18 in other time zones. During the documentary for FACE, there was even a fun quiz segment where all 4 named themselves Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, which at the time, no one had any idea other then it was just for fun! 🙏😅🤣😍

❣️Jimin’s first album FACE, mainly had a different feel, since Jimin himself stated that the songs reflected, how he felt, what he was going through during the pandemic. Urge you to listen to the ever so hauntingly beautiful, deep, heartfelt, gut wrenching song “Alone” from english lyric vid! Jimin mentioned that while recording it, he had a bit of difficulty to convey all those disparaging feeling, since by that time the pandemic was over, and his whole demeanor, all his feeling changed to happy, joyful & excited especially since he was in process of working on his solo album FACE! I really recommend you listen the rest of the songs from Jimin’s FACE album, like “Face Off” trap beat, absolute fire, also Letter the hidden track in album where Jimin is the one playing acoustic guitar! Jimin did originally want to have MV’s for each song, but company didn’t allow. But just because there is no official MV doesn’t mean the rest of the songs aren worthy to listen to! Matter of fact FACE album is still charting, plus broke records for highest charting Korean album in history! With MUSE album you’ll yet again hear quite a few more different genres of music since Jimin is continually exploring different sounds, as well as what’s influenced & inspired him while waiting his lyrics, composing melodies, as well as producing or being involved in production process!.👍🙏❤️🔥🔥😍🎉💫✨

According to billboard article: ✨BTS‘ Jimin revealed the full track list for his upcoming second solo album, MUSE. Jimin’s quite successful first album FACE, still charting worldwide! The seven-song LP due out on July 19 KST (July 18 in other time zones), will feature the intro song “Rebirth,” as well as “Interlude : Showtime,” the pre-release song “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” (featuring Loco), “Slow Dance” (featuring Sofia Carson), as well as “Be Mine,” “Who”, (single can now be purchased as presale aside from 2 versions MUSE album), and “Closer Than This” (which dropped in December.)
Jimin, 28, wrote six of the songs, according to a release, composed, also finally listed as one of the producers for most of his songs, (though shown in Jimin’s documentary his involvement in producing all his songs), which also noted that the announcement from BIGHIT Music featured a vintage feel via images of old-school cassette tapes representing each song, with an overarching theme of “love” connecting all the tracks.

Other contributors to the album include Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber), as well as producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP and EVAN, who also worked on Jimin’s first solo album, 2023’s FACE, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Jimin’s official solo debut came with the 2018 single “Promise.” Five years later, he became the first South Korean soloist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Like Crazy,” followed by FACE‘s “Set Me Free, Pt. 2” reaching No. 30 on the chart.

you should watch the behind the scene of this MV. Jimin is magnificent and a very nice person. You will see why the electrifying effect of this MV. This is not the best song of Jimin but he made this intentionally to remind ARMY what BTS would bring to ARMY since their first performance in 2012 before their debute in 2013. More importantly, this MV is what Jimin really is.

It shows once again, just like with everything else Jimin does, including his other MV’s just how hands on, just how much involved Jimin was! Including the concept, imagery, vision, the look he had for the MV! Plus all the ideas he had that he put into play! All the while keeping everything as lighthearted, fun & enjoyable! Jimin even oversaw the filming to make sure the final shoot would meet with his approval! Jimin keeps amazing me more & more, though I shouldn’t be surprised anymore! I mean Jimin writes the lyrics composes melody, involved with producing, then is even hands on, on every level during filming!
