It's not a theory., it's a fact. Many Okinawan sensei have confirmed that Karate originated from China and documents are passed on to them proving this point. They are merely preserving the history of Karate. Karate was called Tang-te, which "Tang" stands for "Tang dynasty" - a term for referring to China. The kata Sanchin, for example, originates from Fujian White Cane and the movements are similar.

Okinawan Karate is derived from Kung Fu; many forms and techniques found in all Karate can be seen in Shaolin Hung gar and Choy li fut. In fact the style Shorin Ryu means Shaolin school to honour the origins.

There are no link to Choy li fut or Hung Gar. Also Shorin Ryu is a new name for are newer Karate style. In the older days there was no Shorin Ryu.

Not really. Shorinji Kempo is the one style that does traces its root to Shaolin Kung and Aiki Jijutsu (forerunner of Aikido). Many Chinese characters are used in Japanese. Shorin Ryu does have about 3 (or more) katas with Chinese origins but the name of the style does not honor the Shaolin Kung Fu style. Jesse Encamp has a series tracing Karate to Kung Fu. Very interesting to watch.

karate empty hand means your not holding any thought. you react with reflex witch is an action that requires no thought witch is mastery when you can perform the whole kata with out thinking. it DOSE NOT MEAN NO WEPON.
