The ability to spontaneously “go off the top” and freestyle rap seemingly FOREVER about anything around you is one of most life-changing yet difficult to master aspects of rapping

If you are about to know how to get better at freestyle rapping, you will not only be able to often instantly turn friends into fans…
…You will also develop a skillset that will help improve your flow, your vocal delivery, your rhyme choice…
…And eventually, if you stick at it, you may even be able to freestyle entire songs at a professional level, much like the artist in the thumbnail for this article Juice Wrld was able to do.
If your goal, like the title of this article. in learning how to get better at freestyle rapping is to be able to do it every single day or at a moment’s notice…
…You need to first be able to practice skills that will help you master freestyle rapping without needed to have beats around all the time or even necessarily having friends to bounce rhymes off.
With this in mind, the first daily tip we would suggest is to turn “The Rhyme Game” into a habit.
It’s best played with two or more people, so we’ll describe it that way… but you can also do this on your own.
“The Rhyme Game” is simply where you attempt to rhyme as many words possible over the last word of the sentence your friend said.
By the way, with this game because there is no beat - it’s fine if you take a few seconds to think of the next line.
Don’t feel like you’re on a stopwatch or anything. The stopwatch and needed to be on beat comes in the later tips. Just go as quickly as you can.
The beauty of this game is that:
* You don’t need a beat to practice it
* You can do it on your own if your friends aren’t around
* You will get better at picking rhymes out of thin air.
You’ll get better at picking rhymes out of thin air because you’ll be FORCED to rhyme about whatever the last WORD said was, rather than just having your mind go blank and not knowing what to say.
The real trick behind this thinking is that you SHOULD have ways to “force” yourself to think of interesting and original rhymes.
And “forcing” yourself to get better at freestyle rapping is developed further in secret #4…
If you are going to master the art of freestyling, trust me people are going to ask you to rap on beats of THEIR selection, not of what you have pre-practiced based on your own choices.

I just started watching this channel and it’s been very helpful and I’ve been doing some of the same things on my own and the telling story’s part is so real I have gotten down freestyling with no end I can go indefinitely but sometimes it’s just about anything and everything and I hear other freeestyles that are less words in a bar and about a moment or telling a story describing the situation and keeping ut simple which is rather hard if anyone’s at the point of being able to go on but so in the flow just rib the shit that’s easy but telling a story tasks practice cause not all of it is gonna rhyme and that’s where adjusting tones and pitch comes in I started freestyling when I was locked up
I did my bid in the hole pretty much was is DS 90 percent of the year that’s I did and it’s the only thing that kept me going and now I’m seeing so much progress to not being able to get 5 bars out now I’m at a good level I gotta get a mic and shit I would definitely say for freestyling and telling stories and using different tones and pitches and being creative with it is definitely best experienced through a headset you will never go wrong and that’s how I’ve been learning vocals when I go to my friends studio see me I like to get high so hearing the reverb and shit on one ear while faded more often than not be allowing me to really feel the flow and gives a different perspective of the sound that I’m making high key and if you want to improve your vocabulary a good thing I’ve used is listening back and memorizing my bars and one taking a song once you get it right you can do two songs and you will always have that memorized which forces you to create new flows and generally something different than what you memorized but that’s my opinion aside from that I’ll Definitely be purchasing this program

Dope video. What I usually do is a thing or segment called flow practice. What I do is I'll write a 8 bar verse, and then I'll freestyle another 8 bars so therefore I get my writing practice and freestyle practice at the same time and I use any best last week I did a rap off a classical beat. Because I'm working on my flow. It's weird and unnatural but just in case if I get features like da baby on pop songs and rock songs and so forth, I'll be ready. Sometimes my freestyles end up going to 32 bars, but for me I just started so I'm doing what I can.

For the last 7 years I've had a mix of many beats and round 21 (2021) I prefer New York and Cali beats mostly 90s and early 2000s
Ima use jersey rap, gangsta rap, and Detroit rap

Take a break, don't even listen to that beat, don't listen to old bars you already wrote, don't read old verses, and "start from scratch".
OR
Just open your book of bars and rap other random verses to the beat you want. Helps with ideas, and develops the ability to change known flows to ride whatever beat.
That's what I (Pudd13Beats) do. But also I'm a no body, haven't released anything yet, but I'm a producer first for now.

I used to feel the same -- I think what helped is being ok with not being a perfectionist -- and even though i may not be the best -- i still have a lot of source material that i could use for song concepts and socials and it helped improve my flow immensely! I believe in you! keep going!!

if u want to practice flows u can rap without real words, rap with numbers, or things like that so you focus 100% on the flows you are delivering. Just let your mind flow and experiment strange flows, it's very easy, just add it to your routine. After a few weeks the amount of resources and creativity you have for the flows will be much bigger and better. Experiment with what sounds good to you
