Exactly the same with the Pride movement, except the pain we’re experiencing is still happening, and we’re not at a point yet where it’s purely about remembrance, which is what we’re fighting for

I don’t think some men understand how scary pregnancy is as it can become life threatening very quickly before and during pregnancy, and also some people are not cut out to be parents. There are people out there reproducing like rabbits that shouldn’t be parents at all as they don’t make good parents. Just because us women have the ability to reproduce doesn’t always mean that we should. There are also some women who can’t reproduce and in some cases doing so is automatically life threatening. And I’ve heard stories where doctors are like if you get pregnant, you are at high risk or dying, but we won’t allow you to get your tubes tied or get a hysterectomy, just in case you want to get pregnant in the future. Make that make sense

I saw someone point out that if the same flags represented Christianity the same people complaining about Pride would be slient. I find religion uncomfortable personally but I don't hold it against people who are religious, I don't go round complaining about how many churches there are or people who wear crosses etc

My step-mom is unable to have kids (she's infertile and has been trying for 10 years) I am her only child since she married my dad and she's okay with that. She's always said that "if I was meant to have kids it would have happened" and she prioritised her work over trying to have kids so she could provide for me and my dad (who is unable to work).
And the thing about "carrying on the bloodline" is also ridiculous. As her step-child I will be able to "carry on her bloodline" if that's so important by giving the child her (and my) last name. 🤨 I'd love to hear his opinions on adoption if this is such a "priority" for him. I'm a lesbian and will adopt a child if ever I have one I can't imagine his reaction to that.
I think the opinion this gentleman feels is being forced on him is "Queer People Exist"
He will never agree with it
@@jscxntwar veterans get a whole month too, but outside of that, LGBTQ people have pride month for a lot more than just "coming out". Historically we have been treated in less than stellar ways. It was literally illegal to be gay and in some places it still is, we celebrate our right to love and live just like straight people have had this entire time.
@@jscxntComing out/being out isn't exactly an easy thing... you risk being thrown out by loved ones, being ostracized by friends and family, opening yourself up to the possibilty of harrassment, discrimination or even being killed simply for who you are

"Well then why the hell is it a rainbow?"
"Sir this is an Art Store those are colors of the rainbow, color theory. Did you not draw rainbows when you were a child or God forbid go outside and see one?"
So, does he complain about every commercial & ad if he hates "having opinion pushed on him"? Those are actually TRYING to manipulate people, so they must drive him even more insane! Every bumper sticker must get him so pissed he has to pull over just to keep from driving the other person off the road to rant at them! How effing DARE parents force their opinions on having babies & driving with them by putting "Baby On Board" or a "My child is an honor student at Blahblahblah Primary School."

its so funny how he compares it to WW2 when the whole pink triangle thing was going on IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS ??
i appreciate just how passionate Alex is in this video. It makes the video so engaging just seeing him just genuinely feel passion for a topic. Clearly it's a topic that's important to him. Usually I put on videos as something in the background while Im on the phone or eating but this time i actually put my phone down to listen to what he had to say. I always enjoy watching alex but something about this video is just amazing. Seriously, just how sincere and heartfelt he was in this video is just *chef's kiss*. True. There are so many slurs for people in the LGBTQ community, but the worst I've heard straight people be called is "breeder", which usually seems to be someone joking.
22:59 I always hate this logic “someone had it worse” yeah…we know, doesn’t mean we aren’t suffering too. Also we have multiple remembrance days/months for veterans because we recognise the sacrifices made and majority of people don’t want the next generations to have to go through similar. Exactly the same with the Pride movement, except the pain we’re experiencing is still happening, and we’re not at a point yet where it’s purely about remembrance, which is what we’re fighting for

I hope he never wears a football jersey or a hat with a team logo. Someone might think he is pushing his team on others. They were literally BEHIND him. Someone go get Joey Swol and let him sort this mess out.
"You don't have to scream about it." Hmmm, he's kinda right, the colors on the flag *are* pretty loud- 😂

Ikr like just don’t look at it, problem solved.
I have zero interest in having kids 🤷♀️ I don’t understand why people think that’s odd.
I never wanted children. I ended up with 5. I haven't brought up any of them, and only have a relationship with 2 of them ( long story). But I do love my kids, don't get me wrong, but I still wish I didn't have kids . I should've stood my ground instead of doing what I was told.
Why is a man mad women aren't wanting kids when he doesn't have kids

Fr, I mean the poppy is to remember the lives lost in war. How can someone be angry at that? Childish if u ask me getting mad over a paper poppy. As a woman i don't want kids plan on getting those tubes removed. Yet conner cries woman ain't breeders yikes 😂 he needs to leave the gays alone too
Mother of two here. Ppl don’t wanna have kids bc it’s expensive af, this country hates mothers, and pregnancy sucks.
Fr, im not American, but if I did live there I’d probs adopt instead of pregnancy bc it would be expensive and plus Id be helping someone already alive and adopting would reduce overpopulation instead of having a child.
And giving birth sucks, I’ve heard. I asked my mum why I’m an only child and she said after she had me she said “nah never again”.

I love it when Alex goes off on one! You tell him!!
as someone who is trans and pan, veterans day, memorial day, and veterans month are very important to me because a majority of my family served. veterans month might be an American thing, but there is indeed a whole month that is celebrated. people who argue against pride month bc veterans don't have a month just don't care about veterans like they want to make other believe. it's very easy to look it up and celebrate, they just don't care to. also, veterans are not looked down on the way queer people are. nobody sees a veteran and thinks "I should go hate crime them because that personally offends and disgusts me"
And they call us “sensitive”. Buddy over there’s the true snowflake and doesn’t even know
It’s giving “ I didn’t get the yogurt I wanted and it ruined my day”

As soon as you compared him to David Brent I genuinely couldn't unhear it
The videos on his couch sound like a Stephen Tries parody of Andrew Tate...
Thankyou, Alex, for letting this strange, scruffy spotty boy tell me how I think as a woman. 🎉😂🎉

It's really weird. I know where he lives and obviously I'm not going to say that, but we've a lot of gay and trans people here. I don't know where he picked up these ideas as at least 3 of his school teachers were gay, every bar/club has a gay member of staff or two, and the shop I know he uses had gay managers for like 8 years.
I don't know about the UK but in the US, May is National Military Appreciation Month and November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. They just don't know that veterans/military do have a month because they don't actually care about veterans.
There isn’t those kinds of months in the UK, but service members generally get different things across the country around remembrance day like free travel on buses and trains is one in my area. There might be months for veteran and service member appreciation but generally they’re just appreciated all year round (not always, sometimes they’re targeted by people sadly. Even cadets are targeted bc they’re easily identifiable by uniforms)

As someone whos non binary, I just can't believe the bullshit transphobes say about us sometimes. But at least its not as bad as having to constantly hear it irl from someone you know.
Its been a year and i havent spoken to my dad and cant really trust him to change after other things hes done. But not speaking to him makes me a lot happier these days and now im just vibing with my queer friends and supportive family members.
