I feel like this might point to Sam & Eddy having a kind of duality similar to Dr. Monty and the Shadowman. Also, there must've been a time where Sam knew everything, at least the song implies. Personally, I think the riff points to the moment right after Sam & Weaver set fire to the house. Couldn't be during the events of CW, but could be after since Sam could've reconnected with her memories in the Dark Aether. Story's getting spicy and it's very interesting to speculate once again. 3arc's gotta blow us away with the storybuilding here.
I think the same, the mere fact that just two children survived and now they're both clashing is basically a repeat of Dr Monty and the Shadow Man. In this case I think Samantha is a closer personification to the Shadow Man than Eddie

I've had this theory for ages espically because Eddie beared witness to the power and kinda evil deeds Samnatha has done, also they wanted to create a new pure timeline/universe where the children were innocent and pure yet Samantha wasn't and Richtofen maybe feared her powers and what she was capable of. This sets up his reasoning to have a rivalary with Sam creating a feud between them just Eddie acted first so Sam - along with Weaver - retaliated and plotted to kill him and his family. A further motivation could also be jealousy as she didn't have family or peaceful life

When you think about it, primis and ultimus richtofen could have been only evil due to his proximity with Ludwig I mean he's not the most upstanding member of the community he sided with the nazis so it would make sense that his daughter would also be evil. Edit: i just had a thought shes the german sounding sam not the purified American sounding one so she's still connected to the dark aether so shes always been evil you can tell in the ending of tag when she tells Eddie to look away she says it in a German accent so she must still be evil.

Eddie could have some profound connection with Prima Materia in the same way Sam does with the dark Aether??

Eddie and Sam should hug their differences out cuz if they are against each other again, shi breaks lose😭 They are truly soulmates and I completely agree about what you said of their relationship and mannn this is angsty and filled with tragedy. Why didn't they send Eddie to become a frkin musician and Sam to become a painter or sum shi, they became what their previous selves were always destined to become and it's messy all over again.

The music has always had narrative Easter eggs, usually of characters from different perspectives. Like call of the dead song not ready to die by Avenged Sevenfold. Matt shadows has an interview saying he wrote that song from the perspective of Richthofen after he read the whole story at the time. Love the video, could u please do a deep dive on the music contributions to the story.
I think they are tying to push the narrative Richtofen is evil but what has he actually done, fair his actions in liberty are a bit sketchy but what if this is all in retaliation to what Sam has done to him, plus from other versions of Richtofen we know he's extremely driven to a cause and it's goals either for good or the bad and he blurs the lines of it for the greater good. I think it's all pushing the idea Sam id good in this reality and Richtofen is evil because that's what we expect to subvert it on us.

Her father figure was always Ludvig Maxis not Eddie. She never saw Eddie as a father figure but more akin to as of same age wise. They almost played and grew up together. Who do you think gave him the name Eddie and Teddy? It was Sam. That's super familiar and not daughterly, even when they are souls in Agartha and Eddie disappears, Monty fears that she has changed and Eddie's disappearance hurt her the most as she was always with him. It was just a coincidence that in the og universe Richtofen was born first and that's why in this universe he is of Sam's age. I think this transcends physical age limits as we're talking about souls.
