I love how the castle magically sprouts walkways out from the sides of the rock and how they don't just collapse from not being properly supported. I also like how every houses in the kobold village is shaped like a doghouse.

Next to Marcos game, ChinChinrorin in this game is the best way to make money in Suikoden 1. Every time you win it doubles the amount of money from your last win, and that’s especially so when you win by a triple. It’s hard because it’s so RNG based, but it can get you max money real easily, which is almost needed at the end when you’re spending almost 50-60% of your max money on sharpening weapons/armor

I think Suikoden has given me a gambling problem help! Like everytime I play I end up at Gasper because somehow I always end up broke then I get my money back the whole process repeats I've literally put in over 20 hours at this point and Luca is almost up to me.

Huh. So, "The moon is beautiful" is an interesting saying in Japanese. I forget what particular story it's from, but the crux of it is it sounds like "Dai tsuki" when spoken, which is eerily (and purposefully) similar to "Daitsuki", or "I love you". It's basically a way to confess your love to someone with the ability to play it off. Maybe Tai Ho's got a thing for Tir? Or it could just be a joke that wasn't translated well. It's possibly the later considering all the typos we've seen so far.
Im really enjoying this game,the characters and the story.
The Kobold's houses tho
It's super easy to ignore Pahn up until that point, and then just do a few battles and skyrocket his level to the requisite. Really unnecessary to make him a mainstay in the party. Not that he's not a decent character, but there are better, cooler, and more loyal ones. :P
I'm kinda late, but I think "Fine, thanks" means "Oh, you want to use my vault? Fine, thank( you for using it)s."

I would suggest adding the Wind Rune to Kirkis, it's really useful for the bosses to come.

Gaspar is key.....i can max out bits after just 5 rolls. Love that crazy guy. Just make sure you have your top 5 in the Luck category.

Ok so for the Holly Boys in the Great Forest these are their drops and the % for it.
Graffiti 0.78%
Flower Painting 0.78%
Lover's Garden 0.26%
And since Holly Spirits are usually in a fight with the Holly Boys these are its drops
Toe Shoes 1.31%
Needle x4 1.96%
Also of note the Wizard Kobolds have a chance to drop a guard robe so if you are looking for that you want to fight those guys.
Ohhhh man! Gaspar was AWESOME when I played this! Pretty much made it so bits aren't a thing anymore.
I was about to ask why there was a black chicken sitting on the floor of the blacksmith area in the castle. And then I realized it was a bellows.
At first I wasn't really feeling this LP, but as it progressed, I became more interested, and now I'm really enjoying myself watching these episodes!

Winning chinchinarong (or whatever) is based on the party's luck as a whole. That's why I would use that to max out potch and sharpen everyone's weapons. Of course at this stage of the game, you don't have a lot of high luck characters to choose from.

I think it's probably faster to take the stairs if you're only going a single floor, but more than that the elevator will be useful.

His importantance is overstated.....literally need him good to go for 1 fight and that's it....not even that good of a character and can be leveled/geared/sharpened later.....easily

Lucah said on stream a long time ago that she played the first part of Suikoden 4 when it came out and didn't like it, and never played Suikoden 5 as a result, I don't know if the latter has changed since then or if her opinion on Suikoden 4 has changed though.

Blackavar Gaming The ps3 psn store has the first four as classics, their at a nice price and I think currently they are on sale (don't quote me on that).
PSP, Vita or PS3. PS3 and PSP/Vita has II and PS3 has III and IV as well.

It's possible, I've done it........very heavily an RNG get lucky as hell fight with Rosman
It is possible.
Unconscious characters don't gain exp and you don't need to win the fight against the assassin.
Spoilers:
Tir doesn't need any stats at the point Lucah is at and even when you do need stats on him there is a way to reuse Stat Up Rune Pieces.
I've gotten pretty far in the game with Tir at level 1, you can get around 6-7 characters who join at 99 like that.

Yes he did, after you finish the events in Lepant's mansion he joins automatically, although the game never tells you for whatever reason. Suikoden does that a number of times.
It never says. I assume he works for Lepant, considering he built a giant defense mechanism
