When they first announced that arcane was gonna be based on piltover/zaun I was kinda skeptical because it’s lowkey the least interesting region to me but I didn’t realize how much better than the other regions it would appeal to a wide audience comparatively
I've never been the type to "ship" anyone really, but the thought of not seeing Vi and Cait together again is soul crushing.. I fell SO hard for their love for eachother. I've barely been functioning since it ended. It literally feels like I'm 17 again and having the worst heartbreak in my life. Wtf is wrong with me
"There's no good version of me." @33:28 This line from Jinx/Powder, right after we saw a beautifully good version of her in Ep. 7, and after her redemption through episodes 4-6. I can't.... 😭
I think the "fight" Cait was talking about at the end was just all the work it will still take for Piltover and Zaun to recover and reconcile, especially if opportunists try using the aftermath of this war to grab for power or create more conflict. They have a long, hard road ahead of them, and Vi has been through and lost so much that Caitlyn would understand if she needs to bow out. To live a quiet life away from all that or maybe even to leave the city and start over somewhere else But it seems like both of them still see the future of the twin cities as a dream worth fighting for
I love the symbolism of Caitlyn going INSIDE the prison cell with Vi this time Vi is blaming and hating herself, probably feeling like she deserves to be there, deserves to be punished. But Caitlyn in just a couple words tells her that she actually agrees with Vi's decision to forgive and trust Jinx, and even if it does end up going wrong, the blame is on both of them this time. They're in this together, and Vi doesn't have to carry that burden she's had on her shoulders for near on a decade now alone anymore
Powder in the alternate timeline actually wears a necklace we see young Vi wearing in the opening scene of season 1, which is devastating. But for double devastation, this necklace was probably originally given to Vi by Vander, because he is wearing it as a bracelet in the ep5 flashback with Vi and Powder's mother
Just to reassure you, Jinx survived. The very instant the explosion starts, you can see a pink streak of shimmer power zip away into a duct on the side of the tower. As well, there is the chicken scratch Jinx lettering for the end. It has been confirmed by the creative team that she survived, and may even have a cameo in the next LoL series.
Warning: Heavy spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched the final episode yet! Jinx's "ending" is open to interpretation. For example, during the final explosion in the Hexgates, a streak of pink can be seen moving away from the blast (the same effect you see when Jinx moves fast with her shimmer power). We then see Caitlyn looking at the horizontal air ducts near where the explosion happened in the Hexgate blueprints (while holding part of the bomb Jinx set off). Finally, the last scene is an airship that looks strikingly similar to the one Power points out in the first act of season 1, episode 1, while saying: "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things." This all ties up nicely with the speech Silco gives Jinx in the jail cell about "finding the will to walk away" to break the cycle of violence, as well as Ekko's pleas that "it's never too late to build something new." Of course, it's also entirely reasonable to say that all those points are circumstantial (or a reach, even) and that Jinx is truly dead. Either way, I like that the ending allows for multiple interpretations.
@@robfrawley I've seen those interpretations since; tbh I'm so burnt out from ambiguous endings lol just once I'd love to know the characters are all gonna be okay😭
I interpreted the, “Are you still in this fight?” as Caitlyn asking if Vi still see a future for them, for living, a purpose. It’s just a stronger and better way of saying, “Are you going to be okay? Are we going to be okay.” And Vi gives the perfect answer. At least, that’s my interpretation.
The story of Arcane is done. In an interview with Arcane's Showrunner Christian Linke by Necrit "Right now we're developing the follow up projects, we're exploring a bunch of directions" ... "We're far from done"
Jinx having IV underneath her eye in the beggining of episode nine of course resembling VI herself but IV = 4, and that is the exact same time Ekko can rewind in time, meaning he was the only one who could've saved her. They both deserve a good ending, together❤
I love Episode 7, but I wish they'd come up with a device for getting across the main differences with the new reality something other than just have Ekko blurt out truly unhinged questions/accusations. He's a really smart guy and a community leader, so he should have some filter between his brain and his mouth. There are hints that Ekko and Powder are already a couple of some description, but it's the way she looks at him when she's laid on the couch that suggests to me she's seeing something in him that's new to her. I think by the time they're sat together overlooking the city, she's starting to work out he's maybe not the her Ekko, as again, the things he was saying would make absolutely no sense coming from someone she'd grown up with. The pendent Ekko gives Powder represents an 'unobtainable love' since blue roses don't exist in nature. 'Powder' is also the name he'd wrote on the piece of paper he burns in the last episode, in the same location he'd kissed her. 😭
The fight doesn't end just because the major conflicts have seemingly ended. There are groups on either side that will never give up the quest for ultimate control.
Yeah it's already confirmed they will be appearing in other series, the writer and director said that on Twitter, which is normal ahaha, they do appear in other places, but we are talking.....2033 maybe ? Or even later, took then 8 to 9 years to make arcane.....
Arcane took so long because they were making everything from scratch and they were obviously tinkering with the style and writing along the way. Now that Arcane is already so popular they will rev up to make more content faster. Epsecially since they said they have already planned out 3 new stories over the arcane production
@ptr4410 and even you have spiderverse to prove that, even with some things already done takes time still, it's still a 3 to a 4 year difference with everything done and they need to it all over again, it's new characters, places, having one or two characters appearing doesn't take that away
@@ptr4410 True. They are more efficient now, they also have more people. And since the writing team was already done writing Arcane season 1 and 2 before season 1 even came out, they've probably already been working on the new stories for some time now. Fortiche really know what they are doing and they are also aware of why the fans like their animation so much (based on interviews of them I have seen) so they will keep the same quality (hopefully).
This litlle giggle by cait when Vi is struggling to untie her pants 😭 they are so in love i CAAAAANT 😭😭😭🥰

Powder's first line of the first episode, right?
🧐
@fitnessandfandom exactly. For no particular reason...
I will miss Arcane so much 😭😭 cannot wait to see what they come up with if they decide to branch off into exploring other regions of Runeterra
I sooooo wanna see my favorite champ haha.
But I’m not going to count on seeing illaoi in a follow up show.

Episode 7 gives me hope that in the main timeline they can achieve a similar level of progress in just a few short years as well now
The fight doesn't end just because the major conflicts have seemingly ended. There are groups on either side that will never give up the quest for ultimate control.
