Hi Brooke, that is so disappointing wanting to go to shops and they are always closed, I call them hobby stores meaning the owner must not need to sell their items! Hopefully soon you will be able to shop inside ! I go to this antique store and he sells his items very very reasonable , a lot of silver items too! Your meal looked wonderful ! We seem to have all the same interests: decorating, thrifting, cooking and gardening. You are a breath of fresh air, honest and real. Was thrifting today and found 3 of your duckies and felt badly I could not get them to you. Wish our Thrift stores were as stocked as yours. AND our shops do not have the business hours like they used to either. Maybe not enough employees out there now to hire. Who knows!

Brooke, I hate it when shops aren’t open when they should. Some days you win at thrifting and some days you don’t. Your dinner looks wonderful. I’ve made lemon potatoes before with a butter sauce but no peas. Next time I’ll add peas😊. Love and blessings❤️❤️❤️

@@mamabrooke I went to Western Tech… and we always hung around the Junction… it’s different now… but it’s picking up and I noticed they are starting to build condos… ruin the area again because some buildings are from the 1800’s. My brothers bldg… near Keele the (TV) bldg. is from the 1880’s..

I've only just discovered your channel!!!!!! And I love it!!!!!! You taste is amazing. Your thrift stores bear no resemblance to our charity shops here in the UK. They are just full of rubbish, I've never found anything. In fact, I no longer look. I also watch the chateau restoration on TH-cam and their brocantes are brilliant too. Well, I've found you now, I've subscribed and will enjoy! PS I was interested to hear you are doing open house. Never heard of such a thing!!! It sounds like such fun. We do open gardens and that's great. A tip for deterring slugs around yours hostas. Used coffee beans. They don't like the feeling, or smell, of the coffee grounds. Here, coffee shops usually give them away free.

There was a resale shop near me that didn’t keep their posted hours and it ended up going out of business. You wonder how those two shops by you stay in business. Most people don’t want to fool with making an appointment.

Thanks let me tell you it’s so yummy , unfortunately I don’t really have a recipe. It’s just what I showed online. I don’t cook with any recipes really ever that’s why I’m not a big baker. 😂🤣😝 as for the store it’s a front I guess the tax haven for an a Postrio cleaning company🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ and thank you my garden are doing pretty good 😊

It says they are a furniture and rug cleaning company that sells cleaning products. I certainly didn’t get that impression from their storefront but there you go. Be well. There are a few reasons to have a business that is never open: 1. So you can claim it as a loss on your taxes. 2. Its a front for a business you do not want any foot traffic in which is why you have to call. Sorry for being cynical but I am from New Jersey and I am just gonna leave that there. LOL
