welcome to a week of running a small business while studying computer science in university! it can get really busy sometimes as a university student, but i've been trying my best to balance running my online shop with having a productive university life. please follow along as i prepare to launch my small business shop update, pack orders, and GET PRODUCTIVE~~ i hope you enjoy!

Great video again Johanna! I think it’s really admirable how hard you’re working on your degree and your business. I also am keeping my options open, pursuing a masters degree and wanting to start a business is very harrowing. I guess I just want something to fall back on. Not sure if it’s right like you said, but it’s the best I can do right now

I don’t think your skills have to be completely separated :) I think there’s a lot of opportunity for you if you look into UX to complement your CS (I’m a software dev who specializes in front end and UX) if you ever wanted to combine them, which I totally get wanting to keep them separate too :) I totally relate to that initial feeling of how to grapple with the duality of the types of things you’re interested in.

Would be good if you did a video on:
Setting up and using your sales dashboard, etc, for fulfilment of orders and printing of labels as well as organizing and adding products to your sales dashboard.
Setting up your business workstation
Organize your bookkeeping, etc
I love your small channel its hit home with me as i to am a student. I'm going to SNHU online for my AS in Information Technology and balancing my cyber security class and my full-time job and my small sewing business is hard. but not being perfect has helped me. I went from job and sewing business to full time student on top and that in and of itself as I've learned is an accomplishment and i just keep telling myself you're doing great keep it up! so Keep it up and your doing great as well.

you are so amazing for juggling so many things! I just wanted to share that it's possible to create rounded rectangles on silhouette studio to save you from cutting the corners manually. Completely understand if you prefer to do it manually! It can be so therapeutic :)

heeey! i checked out your business page and your journal page. have you ever thought about selling journals and adding your own unique style? i absolutely love the way you design your pages when writing in your journals.
hi tysm for taking a look at my stuff !! it would actually be a DREAM to make and sell journals/planners with my own designs at some point, but i have been afraid to invest in a lot of inventory (since journals can cost a lot to print in low quantities, and also take up a lot of space) 🥲 buttt i am hoping to release a digital planner for 2024, and hopefully that can get me thinking more seriously about releasing a physical planner as well!

how are you making your keychains? wow it seems you do everything by hand its impressive!
tysm! i used to make my keychains from shrinky dink plastic wrap (baking them in the oven), but now i get them manufactured in acrylic by a manufacturer!

Unrelated to the video. I am just so amazed at how many views and subscribers your channel has and you just started in February. That is amazing, you can make a good income off the views alone. ahh tysmm!! i wish i could say i had a good tripod for getting bird's eye view clips, but i just have a standard tripod for my iphone that i stack on a chair 😭 i hope that still helps :"D

first of all, tysm! as for advice about deciding on which art style to choose, I RLLY had this same exact struggle too! what helped me was realizing that i could have different styles in my products (as long as the branding was consistent)! I think that naturally, the fact that all of your works are drawn by YOU will give your work an encompassing "vibe"... but even if the styles are super different, consistent branding (in product photos, subject, etc) can help you add variety into your shop while keeping things somewhat consistent! also, i try to remind myself that variety introduces good choices for my audience to choose from, and helps me feel free to create what i feel like creating (which can keep me creating for longer) :D i hope that helps !!
