Thank you very much ! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes its the lens. I shot this in S-log3 and used a phantom lut to get the colors back, but thats all. In the latest Helios videos I used more post production to get the film look but not in this one. Have a nice day 😊

@@filmsbyjohnny Yes there are many things that come together… the lens , the color grade, the lut, the light at the location … You can also check out the video „ how to get the film look“

The video is really smooth and warm. Is this just the lens? Did you use a mist filter? What ND filter do you use?
Hi, thanks for your comment. Most of this video was filmed without any filter. For one shot I used the NiSi Black mist 1/4 at 0:11 and for the sunset shots at the beach I used a variable ND Filter. For the other „Helios“ Videos on my channel I used the Black mist and variable ND Filter much more.

I can’t get anything sharp unless I stop down to 3 or 4. What aperture did you use. We’re sone shots wide open?
Thanks a lot for watching. If I remember correctly most of the night shots are wide open. The lens quality also depends on the factory where it was made. ( Logo on the lens ) Mine is from KMZ. Where is yours from ?I read THE VALDAI lenses (arrow with the circle )are the most common and have the lowest quality.
