“A Prayer In Hell” is a metaphor for X-Raided's chances of making it in life as a child and the likelihood that he would never be released from prison. He ultimately determined that he would only be freed if he changed his life. Here he uses the Day of Judgment as a metaphor for an appearance before the Board of Parole Hearings. He uses the term “Believers” to refer to other inmates who also had “Life” yet who had faith that they would one day be freed. They are those who began to lead others to the "straight path" in efforts to help them be released from hell.
