- C'est pas tout jeune! Malgré de grosses erreurs notamment sur la longueur du fuselage et la largeur de la racine des ailes bien trop petites, avec un peu de travail, de scratch et de patience, le tout agrémenté d'une peinture Fleet Air Arm plutôt sexy, ce joli Skua au look très....british reste un bon moment de maquettisme.
It's not very young! Despite big mistakes, especially on the length of the fuselage and the width of the root of the wings, which are much too small, with a little work, scratching and patience, all embellished with a rather sexy Fleet Air Arm paint, this pretty Skua with a very ... british look remains a good moment of model making.

Nice job, expecially the scratchbuild cockpit,one of the advantages of these old kits was that, also without instructions, it was possible build them. Also if I doubt that a Blackburn's built aircraft has ever won a beauty contest !

Thank you very much, very happy to read your comment! In fact there is a lot of error on this kit: length of the fuselage, roots of wings too narrow etc ... I fine-tuned some very visible details and especially worked a lot on the painting effects.

Перекроить , перерезать линии , это труд ! Как у нас говорят : " Золотые руки" ! Хоть мне больше нравиться собирать старые модели , но мне не в силах такое сделать, я не уменю пользоваться скрайбером, который разрезает линии. Пробовал, и каждый раз криво ! У нас производят некоторые модели Ново / Фрог !!!!

Спасибо за комплимент, Серг, для рисования линий я использую гибкую металлическую линейку, пилу для смолы и гравер Revell. Я не отслеживаю заклепки, потому что они не видны на 1/72.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Indeed, the English planes of the Fleet Air Arm have very elegant camouflages. The dark gray I used here is a Revell enamel reference diluted with Zippo lighter fluid. For me, enamels are much better than acrylics. See you soon.

Hello Edward, the Frog kits were not bad kits. They were very original, even today, with a good paint job, you can obtain something nice. And... yes the Vultee Vengeance is also a good kit: i am working on it and it will be the next video on my channel 😁😁

Cara! Vc fez um trabalho de mestre num avião difícil. Parabens! Esses esquemas coloridos que a RAF e a FAA usavam antes e durante a II guerra eram esquisitos. Mas funcionavam. Voce não acha que o para-brisa dele podia ser mais para trás, dando uma aparência mais aerodinâmica e não parecendo um caminhão FNM?
Olá meu amigo, muito obrigado por este comentário tão interessante. De fato, o pára-brisa pode parecer estranho, mas era quase vertical, dando a ele esse aspecto de caminhão !!!

What color do you use?
I used Revell enamels for extrados (matt 57 and matt 74) and matt 59 for intrados. Simply the camo scheme of the 1940 Fleet Air Arm. 😉
