From the minute you got off the ship what struck me was how spotless every country has been, not to mention the pot hole free roads.Ive enjoyed these videos, well done that man.
Norway is looking areal treat! Thanks for being to our screens and I know the battery worry feeling, I’ve had it on last too bikes. Not great for confidence! Don’t forget (like I do) don’t leave bike running jump off and take photo, jump back on and out in gear before putting kickstand up killing the engine 😂
Norway is on my bucket list too (as is all of Scandinavia). Hopefully I'll get to go there in a few years. In the meantime I'm enjoying your travels. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. 😊
Glad to see people enyoing our country. Ridden on that road many times from Kristiansand to Bergen ;). Correct about the tap water. We never buy water bottles. Clear mountain-water from the tap.
Brilliant vid Steve, I went to Norway in2006 and yes absolutely fantastic country people the best I have ever met hotels food absolutely fantastic. Ride safe 🙏
Great video so far. Was at the same hotel 14 days ago for the trip to Lysebotn. Great hotel in a great location. Brilliant motorcycling. And brilliant weather (which is not always the case on the west coast). Although being from southeast Norway I did not have to go 1000 miles to get there. 😀
Spectacular video Steve. Never thought about Norway (mainly due to the cost) but it looks a stunning country, really clean & fresh air. Hoping your battery holds out for you mate, I’m excited to see part 3. It would take me forever to get anywhere cause I’d be stopping every half an hour to take photos!! That’s where the drone becomes such a clever addition. Stay safe Steve xx
Thanks Mark part 3 coming soon. To be honest not as expensive as I first thought. Yes I could have taken a tent and saved on accommodation costs, cooked my own food, just drank water 🤣 but I’m on my hols. Have stopped a lot 👍
I agree with a few of the things you mentioned. Stunning country / People and price of beer. I have travelled all up the Coast and called in many bars in quite a few towns. Roughly the same price everywhere.a 60Cl Beer ( Just a tad more than pint ) was about £10.50. After a while you stop converting and just let the card take the strain. You are on holiday after all. 😄
Enjoying this one. Thank you for taking the time to faff and put the video together. Stunning scenery and roads to match. I cannot tell you how many times I have done the bike won’t start” panic, only to discover the key is still elsewhere out of range. Now where’s my passport?
My brother sent me a link to your vids, I’m hoping to get a GS this year, Norway TET next year or after and we’ve got the same name!! You’ve a few years on me though 😅
Brilliant, and spelt the same way 👍 enjoy your GS and planned trips. I can’t wait to get back out again. Life getting in the way a bit at the minute. ATB Pal
Great to see this vid pop up on my homepage. Off to Norway with my daughter in July and will travel some of these roads...in fact, have been checking some of the roads you menton to ensure we are doing them too! Keep up the good work and vids, love to see them!
Glad you enjoyed it, On the return journey I kind of got used to the morning ritual of boosting it prior. Really annoyed with myself that I didn’t get a new one before I left home. 👍
@@stevebutler7156 My old Honda XBR 500 battery used to sit on the bike neglected for years before the internet and before I knew any better. The starter had given up the ghost (it was a known fault and a recall, but I never got notified. 😐 By the time I found out, I couldn't get the parts.) I must have ridden that thing for years with a 'duff' battery 🤣 I think in your shoes I'd be asking questions of the (I assume, Dealership) who checked the battery prior to your departure. If you hadn't had that 'booster charger' you would have missed your ferry and maybe your holiday. Good 'spot' on the keys by the way....easy to miss the (not so) obvious when things go wrong and you are in a pickle. Bloody keyless, who thought that was a 'Good idea'....?
Thanks for all your effort to make these videos, effectively taking us along with you. It looks a fantastically beautiful county. One day I'll get there. Hopefully. I was planning this summer, but not likely to happen now due to family commitments. Maybe next year. How expensive is fuel in Norway?
Looks amazing. I’m liking the onboard footage, I’m thinking of doing the same with my channel to showcase my rides, what camera would you suggest that won’t break the bank?
Hi Joe I bought an Sj cam legend it’s not a bad little action camera. Battery life is rubbish tho, had to drill a hole into the waterproof casing to attach a power cable, hence the wind noise 😂👍
@stevebutler7156 what a numpty I am, watched it earlier🙈🙈 No problems through customs. I'm heading on a 6 week tour of the Alps and up to the Artic Circle in July. Getting differing views on taking food into Europe now we are not a member.
@@parf2665 I only took the basics. Need my Taylor coffee bags. The wayfarer meal was an emergency take didn’t really need it if I’m honest. They don’t really check bikes. Last year myself and the wife went in the Campervan to France on the Chunnel they did have a quick check inside to see if I’d turned my gas off, that was it really 👍 have a fantastic trip. Ride safe.

Thanks for the great feedback, I’m sure you’ll get there next year. Fuel is around 23 Norwegian Krone (£1.70) a litre. 👍
