I am long in NIO and I love their cars, but I am unsure whether the battery-swapping technology really represents the way forward. It is good to see that more and more partnerships are emerging, but woudnt these battery-swap stations become obsolete once the Battery-charging technology improves to such a level that full charging would become a matter of minutes. Please tell me why battery-swapping is the way forward taking the continuously improving charging technology into account.

Battery swapping is genius. Although batteries will evolve to a state where it's more durable, but that might be for a few decades. Battery swap will pay for itsself, and will make profit for years to come. By the time battery swap becomes obsolete, NIO will have moved on to a different financial vechile that will continue to add onto revenue🚀💯

I don't think battery swap will become obsolete, ability to upgrade to a bigger battery for the weekend, without having to get out of the car. It will be automated in next station V4, park the EV, go to a cafe, come back to a fresh battery. NIO can introduce new battery tech in the future.

You refer someone who may test drive, who may become potential buyers and you get something from Nio Life for free, if you like that product may be you will buy it in future and other products as well.
