thanks Marcel , my guess is Nio does not want to compete against a partner or partner in talks , and you said Geely and they are one of Nios partners , if you see the Onvo it is a Tesla killer blah , but notice they do not say Byd killer , because they have a partner buying batteries and most likely in talks for swaps ,like they dont want to create noise and look at other OEMS as allies not competition. Why? They said they didn’t want it to be tested against the Polestar phone because the Polestar phone got the newer chips. No timing issue. I just tell you what they told me ..

I dont khow maybe it's just me but hasn't Marcel turn a little barish on NIO . I mean seems like ever since the baby came . He wasent to fawn about ONVO I mean I get diapers are expensive and raising and starting a family can get very costly but I've followed him and just seems to me his comments seem a little barish . But hey what do I khow maybe it's just me but just has me wondering what happened from then and now with NIO management and him . But hey can't blame him for looking out for his family so just my thoughts
It really feels like Nio is just not interested in catering to western influencers. And yes you don’t communicate the way they did. Of course their year old phone is not as good a s a newer one. I feel like Nio makes to many gaffes. But I don’t know how the typical. Hi see company operates. Phones to me are a distraction. Leave that to the experts

I do not think it is a fear or lack of confidence. It is caltural. And NIO's CEO is a humble man and he does not like to play such games. If you look at Nio's pricing strategy and promos they stay away from this "comparison". The only exception is ONVO , but even here content creators pushing this agenda "NIO is better than Tesla" much more then NIO themselves.
Then they could say: We don’t send out products to influencers for review. Thats our policy. However, they said the reasons is they fear the product is inferior to Polestar‘s. In any case it is pretty bad public communications and far away from best practices. Anyways, I also disagree that NIO / Onvo is not confrontational. Li Bin personally has compared his companies many times to Tesla and Onvo is doing it in a very aggressive way on top of that. Its NIO who put a „better than Model Y“ sticker on Onvo cars and that said hold on your Tesla purchases and wait for Onvo .. not the content creators. I am not saying thats right or wrong (personally I feel its unnecessary but anyways..) the fact is that NIO is confrontational usually is a fact.
Great to point out Nio’s service is no on par Polestar. Nio’s marketing and management are known to be poor even they have a good product.
