I’m sure you already know this but there are some much harder levels you can access by typing “quree” on the level select. There are other codes you can type but they don’t really add anything gameplay wise, my favourite is “kaboom”

it's kinda ridiculous how fast Tyler improves at genres of games he's not used to i feel like he got really good at celeste and now this pretty quickly
Some general tips: use two keys for sharp bends, keep calibrating because you might get better at timing, check out the bottom of the start screen to change colours, above the start for the Xtra island, go back to the first 6 levels since you should be able to do the speed trials now, and never underestimate how hard this game can get because it can always get more difficult

He watches the real time, not the stream or recording, so I don't see why he should have significantly variable input delay from doing those unless his machine is getting taxed really hard. And even then there are ways... can set process priority so the game is #1 (prefer dropping some frames as recording and streaming are forced to wait on game code execution). Depending on the recording codec much of it can be offset to GPU (NEVC). Etc.... Use a real-time kernel...

I definitely wanna see the dlc levels. Also, if it’s not too much trouble, I think it would be cool to see the full run of a section on the attempt that clears it. That way we can see/hear what the whole section is like before you move on to the next. Either way is cool though, I love your content.

21:15 Haha, as a longtime casual rhythm game player this is what i do if i ever feel myself choking too much on a song (assuming it's just simple button tapping and doesn't require me to see the inputs) i'll actually close my eyes and just start focusing on the beat more. helped me with a few tricky medals in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
"Crypt of the NecroDancer" and/or "Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda" could be considered puzzles in a sense due to their mostly deterministic enemy movement patterns, and Cadence of Hyrule even has a dedicated puzzle mode which is an expanded version of the Temple of Brainstorms dungeon. If you play in no beat mode, you can even take as long as you want to consider what to do on each turn.
I beat Classic Pursuit on the first try, only for Butterfly Planet to punish me for my hubris with more than a hundred attempts. Looks like the added checkpoints would save a lot of time now though!

I didn't know that you are a fan of rhythm games, but this mini-series has been a lot of fun! Have you given Crypt of the Necrodancer a try? That could be really cool to see you play, especially as it's kind of a mix between rhythm- and puzzle game.
there are the 5 dlc levels, of which 4 have ex versions, but there are also about 15-20 other bonus levels which get a lot harder than the main 12 as well. also speed trials, where you have to do the levels at anywhere from 1.1x to 1.5x speed, without checkpoints (except for some of the longest and checkpoint-heaviest dlc levels, which you just have to beat without checkpoints)

Been checking twitch every day to see if there's a new ADOFAI VOD :P Guess this works too. Definitely want to see you play the DLC - it's absolutely amazing. If you want a challenge, there's a bunch of bonus levels as well. You can find them all around the start of the level select. But the DLC is something else entirely. It's so good.
I think the DLC is well worth a play through, it takes the base games concepts and goes absolutely wild with them, would love to see you play through it on the channel
These are just the medium official songs. There are a whole different set of hidden, harder songs. Then there are the custom songs, which take the difficulty to absurd and you need 8 fingers to clear.
I highly recommend checking out not only the Neo Cosmos DLC, but also Rhythm Doctor (made by the same people). The DLC has some of my favorite levels in any rhythm game. Definitely challenging but lots of checkpoints so its not too bad. Rhythm Doctor is more of a 'story' rhythm game but has a ton of cool mechanics that make the game really enjoyable
remember there's also extra levels and the crown island so these aren't the worst you will play! keep it up! (I tried one level and cleared in 100+ attempts)
I would LOVE to see the DLC levels. TaroNuke, the DLC's creator, is such a phenomenal charter, and you can tell just by playing them just how much love and passion went into the levels. Honestly my favourite levels in the game.

As a few others have pointed out, there are still more songs outside of the DLC and Workshop (some of which are even harder than these backside songs). Here's where to find them: At the same time that the backside songs (world 7-12) were unlocked, two gems should've been added around the starting area. The lower one takes you to an area where you can change the color of your two orbs (a few additional options can be unlocked), while the one up top takes you to Xtra Island, which has 6 songs on it of varying difficulty (including two collab songs). World "B" appears to the right of World 6 upon completing the Speed Trial goals (Red Gate - no checkpoints) for World 1-6 (1.5x on 1-5, 1.1x on 6). Completing World B will unlock Crown Island (which contains two of the hardest songs in the base game) No separate unlock exists for completing world 7-12's Speed Trial goals, but completing the speed trials for the first two songs of Muse Dash Island will unlock a third song (which is the third candidate for hardest non-DLC song in the game). Of note: Clearing the two Crown Island songs and completing the initial two Speed Trials on Muse Dash Island are NOT required for 100% achievements. The dev considered that too difficult.
EMOMO is definitely the hardest level out of all of them, mostly because the Challenge levels aren't too high of a BPM to keep up with the speed trial minimum speed

i usually use my index and middle finger on my right hand, usually on the ? and right shift keys. helps flow for those quick doubles, but for polyrhythm stuff like in the dlc using two hands is usually better actually.
I would really love to see dlc levels, it's so much better than the main game. Bonus levels too, but there's at least one that might be too hard to be a good fit for this channel.
When you're stone-faced concentrating like with them camera shakes you really look like Ronald Cray from the Legend movie trying not to shoot the video game
You should check out Legend of Bumbo, it's not a puzzle game but the mechanics have a puzzley feel to them as you try to avoid taking damage while attacking.
PLEASE do the DLC - they put in soo many cool new mechanics in there! Also this is a game that just feels great to try to improve at, so the longer you play the more fun it gets, really

neo cosmos did a very good job of that. T1, T2, and T4 show off some very neat rhythms that aren't really shown much else in the game.
the developers’ other game, rhythm doctor, also does a really nice job on that! its really cool how they managed to do it two times

Calibration won't help with Tyler when both streaming _and_ recording is introducing variable amounts of input delay

You can tell you’re becoming a true rhythm gamer when you press the keys so hard your facecam vibrates.

You should check out Legend of Bumbo, it's not a puzzle game but the mechanics have a puzzley feel to them as you try to avoid taking damage while attacking.

PLEASE do the DLC - they put in soo many cool new mechanics in there! Also this is a game that just feels great to try to improve at, so the longer you play the more fun it gets, really
