Should’ve been Jim Stynes for Ireland, Max Gawn for New Zealand, Mike Pyke for Canada. (Also, it’s spelt Aliir Aliir)

Max Gawn was born in Australia to parents Sandra (of New Zealand) and Robert (of New Zealand, and former South Island rugby representative player) who migrated to Australia as young adults they moved Max to Greymouth on the South Island of New Zealand at the age of 3. they are mostly born in their country then moved to australia at a young age.
@@hamishman2196 thank you, another assumption I think of is that they had their background in similar sports like rugby, American football then move to Aus to study and play this Australian football in universities.
Irish players play a similar code of football using a round ball (Gaelic Football) and AFL talent scouts will look to recruit from that competition and have done so with a reasonable level of success including one player winning the award for the season's best player (Jim Stynes)
The governing body also runs alternative pathway programs running trials for potential converts from other sports. At one point this focused on North America, which produced Mason Cox, and now focuses on Africa with at least one junior player (late teens) being prelisted on a pathway program.
The rest as suggested migrants to Australia playing in junior competitions.
