Continental still flies that Air Micronesia route - Hawaii, Majuro, Kwajalein, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, Guaam - west every other day and east every other day - no plane on Sunday.... used to stop at Johnston Islands til they shut it down... I love Majuro airport because you really do have ocean on right and lagoon on left - and good handicraft shops in the airport!!!
Ha ! Landed in majuro many times on the old airfield on air micronesia 727s. Was a pasenger. Plane hit soon as the sight went from water to land. Full reverse and brakes, stop short of the end of the runway. Then take off is turning with wings over the water, then full thrust, release of brakes and plane is shaking itself to death. Lift off is right when land turns to water. Not an inch for mistakes. They really watched weight on the plane. Great fun back in the day.
george curtis Thats a great narrative of what Lansing and taking off in Majuro is like! Great memory. I do remember when Air Mic had the 72’s operating there.
From the looks of things, this flight took place in 2009. (This is the departure from Majuro: flightaware.com/live/flight/N470AG#flightPageActivityLog )
Did you ever hear back from San Francisco ARINC,after you landed to confirm you landed? That's a challenging location out there to hear anyone on HF radio during the day at altitude or on the ground! I think I remember the frequency as being 11384 or 17904 Khz out in that area of the West Pacific Ocean when I listened to HF radio communications with various airliners on my Uniden Short Wave radio back in the 1990's and early 2000's from the West Coast,USA.
I miss the old days, when there was Honolulu Radio. I loved hearing the Qantas and Air New Zealand crews giving their position reports on those frequencies in the late night or early morning hours on 8867. But they eventually merged with San Francisco Radio. Now it's all CPDLC.
We lived there for three years and landed there many times. There is a water catchment system on both sides of the runway. The water is used by the people there.
Thanks for the memories. Been there several times as a fuel stop based on winds in the 737 series. What's with the soda can on the windscreen and no final landing check? At 3:00 on a base leg and no shoulder harness? Loose operation.
I can't believe people live in such tiny Atolls with constant fear of storms, sea waves and sea level rise....lets hope we can see such islands after 50 years
Nice video, however the focus of the cam is on very close nearby. We can see all details of the dashboard, its screws and scratches very sharp. Including that empty can of drinks, whatever there was in... The outside is a bit blurred, however still enough to see the rwy!.
I agree with some of the other posters about the lousy camera work. You got to get people that had some training or at least try to keep a camera steady.
That can on the dash is freaking me out. Not like a bounce could knock it on the floor to jam a rudder pedal or control stick at the worst possible moment. Or it could puncture and spray all over the instruments at the worst possible time. Nothing like that has ever happened
Definately the first approach and landing at this airport for this crew. You'd think that they would have looked at their charts prior ot making their approach to familiarize themselves with the airport's location relative to the rest of the atoll. Pilot in the left hand seat stated, " the airport is out there, somewhere"; doesn't inspire much confidence.
And you are definitely wrong, I have flown into MAJ twenty or thirty times moving airplanes between Asia and N. America. I own Jet Test Int'l, the largest aircraft ferry company in the world,. and I would definitely never hire you to fly one of our airplanes. You sound like a pain in the balls to fly with. loosen up, people might start to like you.
Not real sure what a "ferry flight" is, but taking (what appears to be) an older 737 across the Pacific Ocean takes big gonads....even with those fuel stops!
when your driving a car your not suppose to put anything on the dashboard...there is a empty soda can on the dashboard...being a pilot is way better...no cops to pull you over...lol.
Thank you "lovely Peter". LOL. Peter, I don't know why you are so hard! hahaha, I crack myself up. You wouldn't know a good crew if a Peter hit you in the head...which it probably has

I get a warm fuzzy feeling all over when I watch this vid....Thank's for the up load...nice landing boy's!
Thanks Michael, sorry it took 4 years to thank you.
This was a B737. We are not an airline, we just deliver and repo airplanes all over the world. This was just a stop for fuel on our way to Indonesia.

And all the various regional ATC HF controllers were always saying,"Stand By for a SELCAL check!" Like "Delta,Kilo-Echo,Mike!"

@diggerHR. The sterile cockpit rules only apply to airline and charter flights (121 and 135 regs). This is a private flight.
Very good video. Enjoyed the ride, felt like I was there.

Mary Joanne Roth
How big is that atoll and what is there to do there ?
My Mom grew up there. They used to fly on PanAm Air boats in the 1950's.

AntoniaFrock Repo guys.
God bless 🙏🙏❣️ Marshall, Islands. Greetings from USA Mainland (California)
Y'all make landing look so easy that even a caveman could do it.
I thought that was Mark Wahlberg landing the plane, awesome landing, you make it look smooth as silk.
well thanks!
I luv going to Majuro. Nice people and beautiful country.
I can't believe people live in such tiny Atolls with constant fear of storms, sea waves and sea level rise....lets hope we can see such islands after 50 years
I was on Diego Garcia for a while. We always joked that "Mt. Diego" was the curb in the bowling alleys parking lot...
+Argha Roy Not a problem, I know several very good SCUBA Diving instructors to reocmmend;
Marshall, islands is so small but we have more than 10:000 churches that why any kind typhoon can not enter my country we always believed in god
Yeah my cousin is Marshallese and lives there.
Hey cousin thanks for recommending me this video, just got back from the bakery.
Nice sea level approach 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Captain kind of looks like Mark Wahlberg to me lol
I flew the United Island Hopper and Majuro was the most unique place to land.
Ahhh.... the Marshall Island. I've always wanted to go there.
Wow they are tiny islets ...... a good sneeze and they'd be gone
What a cool job!
You notice the curvature of the earth while flying. Amazing
wow, the pilot seems just as Mark Wahlberg... is he ??? hehehe.
Dude I was thinking the same thing! :-)
After Majuro you continue the Flight to Biak island is that correct?
why does it sound like there is a cockpit window open?
Anyone have any idea whom they're calling at 6:09 when they're calling "San Francisco"? They mentioned "San Fran" about a minute earlier, too.
Looks like someone bought a B-737 and it was a ferry job across the big pond...
How does that place handle storms? 😳😬
i love your approach nice !!!
Amazing video
Beautiful:):)
Add more videos of landings or take off :)
i love your approch nice !!!
Red Bull gives you wings! Great vid.
If you wanna see the landing 4:50 Impact at 5:19
fuck you
Video ended 7.17..so wasting the time.
awesome landing! What airline flew this route?
Flew there in the 1970s on a Continental 727... wings over the ocean...
Why
@@VBN59Zfamily vacation. My mom liked going to remote places
Please tell me that was a VFR approach and landing.
Didn't the drink got hot behind the windshield?
its a long island. nice landing
Interesting Departure and Arrival areas. Seriously, how many people fly from Arizona to Indonesia?
Nice video, however the focus of the cam is on very close nearby. We can see all details of the dashboard, its screws and scratches very sharp. Including that empty can of drinks, whatever there was in... The outside is a bit blurred, however still enough to see the rwy!.
Thanks for the critique Mr. Spielberg
sriwijaya air 735w ex continental?
Island armed to the teeth about now…2024
The biggest land mass is the runway,,you won't find in that atoll at all,,surrounded by open ocean, heck no!
why couldn't you just rest the camera on top of the instrument panel it would make for a steadier video
Got a few alarms going off ...
I agree with some of the other posters about the lousy camera work. You got to get people that had some training or at least try to keep a camera steady.
Good landing welcome to Amida International airport Marshall, islands capital city of (Majuro)
is that a 737 for cardigair?
Why would anyone fly a 737 from Arizona to Majura Atoll?
Arizona-Indonesia distance by a B-737??
Thus, the fuel stop.
ex continental 735?
What kind of 737 was this flight in?
Was Michael J. Fox holding the camera? Sheesh.
ok, that's almost funny.
Majura A Tull gotta love the southern accentw
That can on the dash is freaking me out. Not like a bounce could knock it on the floor to jam a rudder pedal or control stick at the worst possible moment. Or it could puncture and spray all over the instruments at the worst possible time. Nothing like that has ever happened
The Plane, The Plane!
those sound like some old low bipass engines.
Best atoll in the world is Diego Garcia.
I think this 737 for Cargo airline based in Halim
Ilham Wira Yuhda Halim perdanakusuma?

LOL
@@CaptBob_Nomadic big deal !
what plane is this, not a B737 for sure...
+Atento AbreOlhos What makes you so sure?
+Dean Fuller cockpit looks like the B737, but it look like to small of a plane to be a B737.
+Atento AbreOlhos It actually is a 737
Well it is a 737 for sure, so you shouldn't be saying you "are sure".
The cockpit is always small. I was in the cockpit of an A330 recently and it wasn't really bigger than that of an A320.
He looks like the bad guy frm the movie Matrix?
Cairan kelur dari drum bahan bakar Drum biru . Ya di lautan
ex Continental huh?
TARIK HABIS ..
speed to fast for the degrees of flaps. Anyway. Awesome to do ferry flights. you get to see other stuff ;)
+AviationDreams Netherlands and yet he succeeded so nicely, almost as if he had been trained in that aircraft....
"speed to fast for the degrees of flaps". my response: You're a jackass
👌

CrocDoc1 Someone in Indonesia bought this airplane. These guys are delivering it. You probly got that by now tho.
You got that right! We buy, sell and deliver airplanes all over the world. Jet Test International
AVIACRU How many of these ferry and repos have you filmed? Fat better than the bs on cable

Shakey vid.
when you landing you must turn off camera/phone wtf?:)))) pilot brake rules:)
I also close my eyes and text when I land.
instagram is AVIACREWS
what a lousy cameraman
Hahaaaaaa 737? Haaaahaaaaaaaa......
+Chris Danns ÝES....IT IS A 737 CLASSIC
Honestly, not a good crew, not a good approach.
+lovelypeter Seemed fine to me. Obviously they weren't an airline crew, but seemed like a fine approach.
lovelypeter
Why isn't it a "good crew" as you say ? They seemed fine to me.
Thank you "lovely Peter". LOL. Peter, I don't know why you are so hard! hahaha, I crack myself up. You wouldn't know a good crew if a Peter hit you in the head...which it probably has
You do have to ask how many approaches lovelypeter has done in real life; flightsim does not count.
