  • On the site of the old abandoned Americana amusement park sits one of the final remnants. Ok lets back up. There were actually 2 parks that operated on the same piece of land. First was the larger of the parks LeSourdsville Lake/Americana. Then there was fantasy farm. Sit-in on the former site of Fantasy far is the Fantasy diner. Let's take a trip and see what gems lie inside this diner that use to be the park gift shop. We'll also se what remnants of the parks remain.

Even though the posters were for Americana, I think you were actually at Fantasy Farm. The entrance to Americana was just a tad farther south.

@Negromancy who said kings island was abandoned. It’s definitely not as I’ve been filming episodes there over the last few years and plan to go this summer to document the new camp snoopy.

@Negromancy I don’t think he was specifically referencing Kings Island. He was probably referencing the two parks near Middletown and Coney Island that we’ve lost.

Grew up w both parks. My dad worked for Nutone and they rented out the entire park (Americana). Went to Fantasy Farm too. I remember all the rides. I don't need a map. Hated the sky ride. Several people died in that lake. People swam in the lake b4 they built a pool. Great memories. Idk if my grandkids would like either bc they have Kings Island. I remember Coney Island too b4 Kings Island opened. I was 6 maybe? Miss the old parks and their reasonable prices!!

We'd love to get on the water slide and then get on the sizzler right after😂😂 and we'd hope to God that we wouldn't get stuck next to a big fat person. Was a regular at LeSourdsville for many years. My best friend and I loved the dark ride haunted house. A little cheesy but I can still smell that musty wood smell. They used to have an Indian chief who would give bull whip demonstrations. Someone would hold a cigarette in their mouth and he would crack his whip and take the end off of the cigarette. They also threw knives at someone spinning on a large wheel. When it became Americana, it lost it's charm. Profit always trumps charm anyway. Great memories.
