    Actually, for Whom The Bells Toll, they did take her to the doctor, and confirmed DW had laryngitis. Not something you can fake either, her throat would be inflamed. So she probably did have an acute case, but knew she could keep faking after realizing she felt better, so she could keep Arthur as her slave.

    Ok, I already knew Arthur’s parents were jerks but until now I’d never even heard of the chip episode. So you’re telling me D.W’s mom KNEW that D.W. 100% truly thought she was going to die, and instead of comforting her and telling her why that wasn’t true so she wouldn’t be scared anymore, SHE TOLD EVERYONE IN TOWN (INCLUDING THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER) AND LET D.W. CONTINUE TO THINK SHE WAS DYING BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT IT WAS “CUTE”??? Oh and she also didn’t tell D.W. she was doing any of this either. How long was she planning on keeping that up if D.W. hadn’t found out on her own? Binky Barnes was literally a better parent in this episode than Mrs. Read because IIRC even if he didn’t know better and also believed she was gonna die, he actually listened to D.W. and sympathized with her instead of laughing.
    And what she says when D.W. stands up to her about it, even her tone, just SCREAMS “sorry not sorry”. D.W. got it exactly right, “Just because I’m a kid it means a promise doesn’t matter!”

      No she didn’t let DW think she was going to die. She was making DW the laughing stock of the city but I can’t sympathize with her when she STILL accused Arthur of stealing her Crazy Bus cd (which I wanna nuke to hell and back) and her snowball

    Honestly, the Tibble Twins are even worse than DW because their bad behavior is _never_ punished by their parents or their grandparent. _Attack of the Turbo Tibbles_ is the worst example of this because they hit DW in the face with a swing, making her have to get stitches in her lip.

    My problem with "A is for Angry" is that Arthur's perfectly right to feel frustrated, and is relentlessly bullied for one moment of weakness, while the people who ganged up on the Brain and then him get away pretty much with no consequences whatsoever.

    • @MrWill9002
      @MrWill9002 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yeah. In fact, I'm doing my own ending:
      After Arthur left, Mr. Ratburn felt his suspicions grow. He had a feeling something was off since this morning and now he was positive. Looking at the class, he saw a pamphlet sticking out of Binky's pocket. "Binky, what's that in your pocket?"
      At this, Binky pulled out the pamphlet that slandered Arthur and called for a rally for Brain. At Mr. Ratburn's request, Binky showed it to him and the students had a feeling they were in trouble the second Mr. Ratburn's face grew serious. He told Brain to tell Principal Haney to call the parents and to meet them in the basketball court and he told Buster to go get Arthur. As the two left, Mr. Ratburn gave a stern look at his own class. "So...does anyone want to explain this?" He asked, bitter disappointment in his voice as the class stuttered and Muffy and Francine coming up with excuses. Mr. Ratburn had enough and told them to wait on that, seeing as this was getting them nowhere fast.
      Once everyone was assembled, Mr Ratburn asked for their sides of the story and after Arthur gave his side of the story, Mr Ratburn gave the rest of the class a serious frown as the parents were appalled by what they were hearing. Even Principal Haney knew that what they did was wrong and with a nod, the Principal punished Mr. Ratburn's class harshly. Everyone, minus Brain, Buster and Arthur, were placed in detention for the rest of the semester and he had Muffy suspended, even turning down a bribe from her, which disgusted the parents even more. After Mr. Ratburn told the Reads that he can recommend a good lawyer if they ever wish to sue Muffy, he sternly told the class that this level of bullying is never tolerated at this school. And with that Arthur broke his silence and called them out for not just their behavior but how shallow they truly are and he decided to cut ties with them. Having said what needed to be said he left with Brain, Buster and their families as the other adults gave the kids stern punishments. And it would take the kids a very long time to regain Arthur's friendship, and Muffy was found guilty of cyberbullying, bribery, harassment, and slander and she was forced to post an apology video and to take down the slandering post effective immediately and she was sent to juvenile for the rest of the semester.

      They do not favor D.W. They’ve shown to care for Arthur as much. Hell, Mr. Read frigging comforts Arthur when he’s worried about him getting hurt at the aquarium due to traumatic experience of him being trapped in Lakewood Elementary School during the fire and tells him a story of how he went through a similar experience. Would a parent who favors the middle child do the same thing for their oldest child? Also, have you forgotten that Mr. and Mrs. Read have disciplined D.W. in a few episodes such as throwing a tantrum over spinach at a restaurant? Or sending D.W. to her room after she threatened to pinch Kate? Even Mr. Read grounded *both* Arthur and D.W. from watching TV for wrecking his soufflé; and keep in mind, not just only Arthur, but D.W. as well. And in an intro for an episode Arthur mentions how D.W. lost her TV time for talking back to her dad. Do you seriously watch the other episodes outside of the ones that portray D.W. and Mr. and Mrs. Read at their worst like Arthur’s Big Hit, D.W.’s Very Bad Mood and Play It Again, D.W.?

Apparently Buster no longer likes Bionic Bunny because “it’s not true to real life/it’s all made up?” What 8 year old kid gives up on watching cartoons for a reason like that? Most children are usually very attached to cartoons no matter what. At the end, he and Arthur were listing some of the other things they both like and Buster listed aliens though that’s something that only applies to him. The way Sue Ellen acts in "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh" is poor as well. Wasn't one of the first episodes she was in about how she stood up to Binky? She is not a pushover and I cannot see what Arthur did pushing her to literal tears, and changing classes. When Sue Ellen asks Arthur to stop, she asks in a joking manor. "Okay okay you can stop now", or something like that. When he continues, she literally just sighs. The only time she really acts like she wants Arthur to stop is when he made that drawing of her. That encounter should've made it clear to Arthur that he was being rude. Yet he acts all surprised when Ratburn confronts him about it. If the other times didn't convince him, this is the point in other episodes where he would realize what he did wrong, and apologize.
    Arthur was definitely a massive jerk in this episode. But Sue Ellen was also a sensitive pushover, which she never was before. it's against both of their characters. Plus, the way Sue Ellen is immeidately okay after Arthur apologizes at the end, and literally calls him a mouse, shows that she didn't really care that much to begin with, and contradicts the entire rest of the episode.
    It's absolutely horrible. At least there's at least a good joke or two in the episode.

      In that same season, nerves of steal was a worst one too because of Buster being grounded for stealing the cyber toy (for the rest of the episode) which I agree that he shouldn’t have done, and also kind of just desserts just because I feel that one kind of brings the darker version of fairy tales a bit, I don’t know why, but it’s sort of because I kind of find it creepy when Ratburn is shown as a witch and then when grandma Thora is shown as a wedding cake a bit (I just sort of find just desserts a bit haunting for no reason). But the one with that episode which is with grandpa Dave (which is called the big dig), was great though and the one where Buster meets his mom’s boyfriend Harry (which was an episode after nerves of steal and called Bitzi’s beau) was great too. I did like the one after Arthur’s family feud which is Muffy gets mature, because I liked it when she sort of befriends Catherine (especially the part where she introduces herself to her friends and saying that she’s a friend of Catherine’s and she corrects her saying that she’s a friend of her sister’s which of course is Francine), she makes up with Francine in the end, so I thought it was fine no matter what in that episode. I mostly now like certain Arthur episodes from the Christmas movie, season 6, the rock n roll movie, season 7 to season 22 and then probably 25.

    for Play It Again, DW: I think the worst thing about this one is that just like the infamous episodes Arthur's Big Hit and DW's Very Bad Mood, DW never faces any consequences for overplaying her music around everyone or falsely accusing Arthur. But the moment Arthur threatens to wreck the CD, the parents are quick to ground him. The parents wait until the very end of the episode to throw in the "You can enjoy your music but it isn't right to annoy others with it".
    for Go To Your Room, DW: To play devil's advocate, at least DW actually faces consequences in this episode and learns a lesson by the end. BUT it did feel like it was more about DW needing to "get along" with Kate, rather than learning how to properly stop Kate from taking her toys. Also, what's especially weird is that in DW Thinks Big, DW literally saved Aunt Lucy's wedding (after being told she was too little to help), so how she warped that into a scenario where she was made to stay home from it and be a slave girl is beyond me. Like you think actively saving the wedding would be a huge core memory for a 4 year old, especially one that was wanting to be involved.
    for War of the Worms: I don't think this is completely out of character for Fern. In the season 2 episode Draw!, Fern retaliates against Francine being mean to her by initiating a tirade of drawing mean drawings of Francine that practically the whole class joins in on. Which is just as if not more jerkish than her prank in season 12, cause at least the worm prank was her trying to make a point to Brain about telling a good story. Whereas in season 2 she just wanted to make Francine feel bad. Fern may be usually quiet, but in those two episodes as well as I'm a Poet she has shown to have a no-nonsense attitude when people are acting out of line towards her.

Honestly no. At least with time Francine got much better as a character but Muffy never seemed to. If anything she got worse and they made her a mini Karen and made you wonder how her and Francine are still "best friends" let alone friends in the show because of how badly she treats Francine specifically.

My records were songs sung by The Smurfs. Anyway I played those records so much my sister wanted to break them! Another worst one that I find is nerves of steal which I find really annoying and sad too, well just because it ends sad, but I agree Buster shouldn’t have stolen the toy in that episode which is why I don’t watch it ever again now. I agree that Arthur’s big hit and so funny I forgot to laugh were other worst episodes in Arthur (which I didn’t like Arthur teasing Sue Ellen in that one, I know he makes up with her in the end, but yeah that one was definitely dumb, but I did like the one after that one which is the best day ever). Some other ones that I don’t like are the first episode Arthur’s eyes, DW all wet, locked in the library, Arthur’s tooth, Arthur’s knee, Arthur’s treasure hunt, prove it, probably some other ones where DW seems to be a bother to Arthur, the cave, just desserts (that episode kind of brings the darker version of fairy tales a bit, I did like the one after that which is the big dig), probably ones when Binky is of course the bully (except for the law of the jungle gym and the play’s the thing (those two, I did like during when he sort of was a bully) and then until the last tough customer). I mostly like the show from season 3, season 4, Arthur’s perfect Christmas, season 6, Arthur it’s only rock n roll, and season 7 to season 22 and then season 25 (I just like certain episodes from those seasons).

    Sad that they rehashed A Is For Angry with the next to last season in an episode that came out recently Arthur's Big Meltdown. He gets angry, everyone thinks he's turning into an alter ego like Mr. Hyde and is resolved by Arthur apologizing at the end.

    • @sandwichgod692
      @sandwichgod692 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At least the kids turning on Arthur in Arthur's Big Meltdown was a lot more reasonable than in A is for Angry. In "Meltdown" Arthur gets reasonably upset for his shoes being accidentally ruined but he still does (inadvertently) vandalize Muffy's house/property. He also, out of anger, states that he never wants to see his friends again. Even when Artjur calms down and realizes his mistake and plans to make amends, the other kids don't know that. However, in "Angry" Arthur simply gets frustrated with how mean his friends are being towards Brain and constantly bugging Arthur about winning the checkers tournament. He asks that they leave him alone, but instead, this causes the whole school to turn against Arthur and for Francine and Muffy to spread lies and hateful propaganda about him to others. It's sad to watch.

    I can't stand the episode "A is for Angry". There is absolutely not justice for the all terrible things Muffy and Francine did to Arther. I would have been a good episode if they (especially Muffy) got punished for actively bullying and cyberbullying Arther. At least Francine felt guilty, but Muffy didn't learn a thing, behaving more selfish and spoiled than I've ever seen her.
    Ironically, the episode only serves to make me very, very angry. Maybe that was actually the point and it was a meta-commentary. A genius move by the writers if so!

    "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh" deserves to be #1 in the top 10 worst episode list as it is the worst Arthur episode ever! It ruined Arthur's character by demonizing him as the bully, Arthur's friends turned against him and jumped on him by giving him the silent treatment which doesn't solve the problem in the slightest and no matter the circumstances you must never do, even to a friend, making Arthur's friends extremely unlikable in the episode as them turning against Arthur and jumping on him with the silent treatment towards him were extremely unpleasant to watch since it made him feel pissed off, betrayed, ostracized and unwanted, and of course, the episode teaches a very bad moral: "tease your friends no matter what". Either Francine or Muffy or both could've been the bully in the episode due to how those two girls act and behave, but making the main protagonist Arthur as the bully?!?! (sighs and facepalms) WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! Why would Arthur do such a thing?! It's like what have they done to you Arthur?! They really were out of their minds and were not thinking at all when they made the main protagonist Arthur as the bully. Besides, Francine was bullying Fern in the episode "Draw" and both Francine and Muffy were bullies at some points in the cartoon before, so them calling out on Arthur for bullying makes both of those girls very hypocritical. Same can be said when they refused to be anywhere near Arthur, so why would they remind Arthur that Sue Ellen is switching classes? Even Sue Ellen never did it when Binky bullied everyone. Therefore, this is why Francine and Muffy could've been the perfect role as the bully in the episode, not Arthur! I only liked the very ending part where Sue Ellen jokingly tells Arthur that her sweater on him makes him look like a mouse as it made me laugh. Other than that, the episode was awful and atrocious and it is the worst Arthur episode ever as I said before! Even Arthur's Big Hit, Play It Again, D.W., Go To Your Room D.W., D.W., Bossy Boots and Nerves of Steal were worthy of watching. I rather watch D.W.'s Very Bad Mood (and have my ears hurt by D.W.'s screaming, yelling and ranting throughout the entire episode) than watch So Funny I Forgot to Laugh! Yeah, So Funny I Forgot to Laugh?! Title name says it all as I deliberately forgot to laugh. Why? Because the episode surely isn't funny at all!

      Eh I personally think the episode where Arthur gets humiliated by dressing up as a pickle in a pageant as a result of DW tricking him was worse, it was just a downer ending for no good reason, also the episode where DW hangs out with an older kid named Hana and claims she's "mean" because she'd rather hang out with friends her own age then pre-schoolers, that message makes no sense at all.
