Thank you Lucy for this great demo which was well planned and clearly explained. Could I suggest using coloured cardstock for this type of demo as it is difficult to see the clear paste on white cardstock before it was foiled. However the results were nonetheless stunning. One tip I have picked up is that if you are experiencing foil residue on your card, try using photograph paper instead of cardstock. As you have said the paper you choose makes a big difference.
Hi, I seem to have problems with the foil marks around the edge of the card when it has been through the laminator. Is it the card I am using? There are quite large areas around the edges even though I used a powder bag to dust around. Thank you. Sue
Chris sorry for the delay, it could be a fibrous card, which tends to pick up segments of the foil. You have mentioned that you have used an anti static pad around the image which will keep the majority of foil away which is the main preventive measure i use, if i still get evidence of foil left on unwanted areas i use a glue rubber which removes the unwanted foil.
Hi Christina, I am using our dimensional paste, I personally use the translucent pate, but all our pastes will work for you, just make sure the image is dry before you start to foil. Have fun regards Lucy
Hi Stephanie ... its just a piece of copy paper from my printer ... what is important is using the Stencil Dimensions medium as your base (any of our colours work) and using Heat foils ... all Sweet Poppy Stencils are hot stamping foils tested for this technique ...
Beautiful
