Was Palpatine Right? - A Misunderstood Star Wars Villain

What if Palpatine had motives for his actions that saved quadrillions of lives? Would you view Palpatine differently? For fun, I'm making the case that Palpatine was a misunderstood Star Wars villain.
This makes heavy use of what is now Star Wars Legends (the old Star Wars Expanded Universe), Thrawn and the Chiss, and especially the New Jedi Order series with the Yuuzhan Vong.

Interesting! Looks like they come from the new Thrawn books. I love Thrawn (and Timothy Zahn's writing) and I will read the new canon Thrawn books someday!
